The popular home lighting company Nanolif today has launched its latest product, smart multicolor outdoor string lights, which brings homekit-consistent decorative light on decks, porches, homes, gardens, pool regions and more.
Nanolif is known for unique light design, and outdoor string lights are no exception. The bulbs have an angular five-sided size that makes them more geometric than soft. They are made from a solid, clean plastic material and they look from crystals or ice. If you want comfortable, romantic-style light, Nanolif’s lights may not be right because of the shape, then if you want fun and impressive lights they are perfect.
Each bulb has multicoller LEDs, so you can control the lights individually and set it in any color with white shades. If you have a bulb unscrew, there is actually a second protective plastic dome inside that makes the light more isolated. The bulb -shaped feeling may not have any comfortable feelings, but the lights can be soft Yellow and some other shade of white or rainbow, and there is fading control. The colors are correct and it is better with blues, purple and vegetables, shades that can sometimes be closed with LED light.
The outdoor string lights are meant for enclosed lights, and even 100 percent brightness is on the side of the color they used to fade. Nanolif says they are 55 lumens per bulb, so 15 meter strands are 1100 lumens in total. They are available at 15-meter (49 feet) and 30-meter length (98 ft), providing 15 meters version 20 bulbs and 30-meter version 40 bulbs.
The strands can be connected together but the maximum length is 45 meters or 147 feet, a 30-meter strand and a 15-meter expansion. Anything else you need separate sets with multiple power supplies. Lights for weather protection have dense black cables, so they are probably not string lights you don’t want to use the inside of the house unless you look for an art where you work.
There is a 6.5 foot cord between power supply and controller and then one leg or controller and first light. The bulbs are about two feet away and they hang four inches, so they look best when crossing the bead or using the outdoor light poles.
The lights have IP 65 water resistance and the controller is rated IP 67, so that they can be used outside in rain and material without protection throughout the year. Nanolif offers two -year warranty to lights.
In the case of aesthetics, the nanolif outdoor lights are great, but the connection requires improvement. They connect the homekit via Matter and the Matter devices are facing problems on Apple’s platform. I think this is more than the Apple issue than a nanolif issue because I see these same issues regardless of the device, but the problem that needs to be aware of a potential buyer.
Outdoor string lights have been randomly disconnected or a handful of times of a particular reason have become accessible. Sometimes it fixes it to unplug them and sometimes they just start working again after they are accessible. As a warning, I do not know whether the subject/omehomekit ৰ inter-useful problem is increasing by my Wi-Fi network or other factors. I have an Orbi Fake Wi-Fi 6E network and my standard। Homekeet products usually seem to be reliable (especially those hubs), not that. Outdoor string lights are not constant most effective and disconnected, but it is noteworthy that the lights cannot always work seamlessly for OME Homekeet users.
I loved the important native -hiket support for the lights but these are just subjects. There is no thread support, and like other nanolif products you can only use a 2.4GHz network.
In a more positive note, Nanolif has better smart home applications. The app is available in the app for outdoor string lights, but I can create myself or use scenes created by other nanolif users. Nanolif also has an AI feature where you can type in any phrase that you can type in any phrase like “Tropical Sunset” or “Ocean Waves” to get a custom view that you notice.
AI works with a fairly wide consultation and I get a good range of color. The only downside is that it seems to have a single color-transfer pattern but when you make your own scene or download them, Nanolif supports other patterns. Since they are capable of connecting to Omomekit via Matter, you can use Siri commands and turn them off and turn off them with home applications.
The Home app supports automation to turn out and stop outdoor lights at the selected time or to pair with other Omomekitai devices.
Bottom line
Nanolif outdoor string lights are well pair with some neat outdoor lights and multi -colored LED geometric shapes. They are expensive and if you have a large area on the covers on the lights, it is not expensive, but one or two strands will improve any outdoor setup.
I did not see the defective operation from the outdoor string light, and had to deal with something disconnect, so that it was something to be aware. I hope that in the future Apple and Nanolif updates will fix the Matter-enabled devices that will still solve any chronic problems.
How to buy
Nanolif’s outdoor string lights can be purchased from the Nanolif website. A 15-meter strand is priced at $ 100, and a 30-meter strand costs 180 dollars. Additional 15-meter expansion packs are available for $ 70.
