My impression on the launch of Amazon’s Kindle last October was that the product collection felt a rush. With reports that colorsoft had yellow ranges at the bottom of the screen, my impressionity was validated. When I reviewed the New Kindle Paperwhite (2024), I noticed that he also had the yellow range at the bottom of the screen.
After searching for Amazon customer reviews, I found that I was not the only person who noticed similar defects affecting multiple Kindle devices, although PaperWhite and COLORSOFT using two different screens. Banding from Colorsoft is not like Paperwhite, and perhaps thanks to the repairs that Amazon claims to make “using a set of software and display modifications” to address the domain problem in Colorsoft.
Colorosoft has a slightly blurry yellow area at the bottom of its screen, which hinders its enjoyment of reading digital novels and manga. Now let’s dig in this review.

Colorsoft is the first invasion of Amazon in Color E ink devices, although it is far from perfection. The color screen allows the covers of books to shine in the glory of colors, and ensures storage of 32 GB to be able to keep a wide range of e -books for reading on the move. Unfortunately, some units suffer from a defect on the screen, although Amazon claims that they will switch any colorsoft suffering from domains, as they take the quality of their products seriously.

$ 280 in Amazon
Price, availability and specifications
Kindle Colorsoft is retaining $ 280, which is a large part of the change compared to Base Kindle and Paperwhite. However, you can get a color screen in something close to the body of Paperwhite, which provides a familiar feeling and appearance. Since Amazon started charging the unit, it has been in the stock, so it seems that there is no shortage, which is good news if you need an alternative.
The sales have been repeated since the release, most likely to the issue of known domains and a large number of single star reviews. If you have the old Kindle Trading, you can save 20 % on the price, which leads to a decrease in the price if you are trading through a deep discount.

What is good in Kindle Colorsoft
Color content to win
If you get a device that does not have a problem with domains or contains minimal ranges, there is a lot that you like about. This is the first Kindle of Amazon, but Amazon waited until the technology was somewhat mature to bring a colored device to the market, and this appears in its clear and clean colors. Although the color screen is only half of the 300pi black and white producers (it’s the Kaleido 3 screen with minimal modifications, which means the color layer and B&S), the colors look sharp with specific lines that are not blurred.
While Kaleido 3 screens are often criticized for the effect of their screen door, I do not see the problem on my device when looking at the color content or B&W. Manga reading is joy, even in 7 inches (some texts can be small in this screen size), with art that looks good like the real thing. The colors may be faded when compared to the book or a LCD/OLED disk, but this is more than the ink e more than one problem in the device. In addition, optional colors style provides more vibrant colors to stimulate things.
The only ink screen that looks better than the Kaleido 3 is a 3rd 3 Paper PAPER Pro device, which is a great notes for notes. However, the update times are better on the Kaleido 3 screen of the Kindle Colorsoft, which you want when you read the device’s goal instead of blogging.
Outside the screen, Kindle Colorosft looks like Kindle Paperwhite. If you have used one, think about a color screen, and this is colorosft. It fits with the Amazon Kindle collection, and although the color is a type of grandmother, it is good to see all the covers of my electronic Kindle book in the glorious color on the ink screen E.
I would also like to have the performance of Colorsoft Snappy, so that the color pages are rapid, with minimal shades. In addition, every Kindle provides the screen update option in each cycle, ensuring a little shades at the expense of screen flashing at each turn, which is also a little slower. The choice is welcome, and I tend to use both positions, depending on what I read.
Also 32 GB storage capacity, although I like to see the SD Card Option. I know this is unlikely, because Amazon reduces the ways of electronic books for pirates, and store e -books purchased on the SD card that will end up as a piracy road, which will not be something interested in Amazon. However, I would like to see her. 32 GB rapidly runs out if you listen to many audio books above Bluetooth.
What is bad in Kindle Colorsoft
Very little, in my opinion
There is luck on the side of the clouds, thanks to the domain problem, and I cannot say that playing the lottery is something I am looking for when purchasing electronic devices. Amazon says it will replace or recover the device, but who wants to spend $ 280 for this type of trouble?
I am also not a fan of Amazon’s Cagping about this problem, as I can’t get an answer about what has been made to repair domains when it does not seem to be fixed, with the judgment on the current reviews of my device. Since Paperwhite has similar ranges, I wonder whether quality control is overcome. I am not alone in noticing this deficiency in the Polish and QC. Even Amazon CPO has publicly stated that the company will stop cutting the corners. I hope it starts in the Kindle line.

Amazon needs to monitor better quality, yesterday
Another problem with the screen is that its edges are very close to the edge. When you hold Colorsoft at an angle (which is often the normal position of an electronic reader contract), you can see the edges of the LED headlight layer, which is incredibly bright. You see a bright edge of the screen below the frame at the top of the screen and on both sides. Only the bottom frame correctly hides the edge of the lighting screen in colors.
Seeing a bright line on the edge of the screen emerges if you have the color of the black page in the drop settings (dark mode), where a bright white edge emerges on a black screen. This destroys the dark situation for me. The bright edge also stands out at night, regardless of the color of the screen. Amazon appears to be stuffed with color screen in a paper body, and this is the result: the edges do not correctly cover the edges of the screen.
Should you buy it?
This will be no. Any device whose company must do his best to promise alternatives due to the known defects that are not repaired acceptable in large sounds such as that the company can be banking on users who do not return what may be defective devices. Amazon Cagey was about this ordeal and is still explaining after what I did to improve the domains I see via multiple Kindle devices.
I do not say that Amazon is not good. COLOROFT alternatives to anyone receives a unit with the range, so they stand beside their product in some way. However, I wonder if this was an offer for dogs and space to avoid what should have been a summons.
After all, 23 % of the Colorsoft user reviews are one star, many of which mention domains and edges of light are not correctly covered by the edges. Many of these reviews are new, which tells me that Amazon has done the minimum processing processing that is still suffering from new Colorsoft devices.
If you are a thirsty user for ink, you know that E ink screens are rarely perfect, especially when you are the front designer. This can lead to unequal lighting, so there was already an anticipation (for lovers, at least) to switch devices several times until you get a good screen can be in the cards. This seems to be the case with Colorsoft, and if you do not mind returning the device until you are satisfied with it, Colorsoft’s domains may not affect your decision to buy a decision.
For anyone else, unusual readers, those who do not buy new ENK devices every year, Colorsoft is not polished enough to justify the price of $ 280. The screen is color, and some of these colors look good (if the frequency range does not object), but when the screen is only 7 inches, the larger colored media such as magazines and comic books is a pain that requires zooming, which means that the colorful screen is something new you will only see when looking at the covers of books. So get PaperWhite, and save $ 130.
