Samsung Galaxy Smarttag 2: I found my favorite tracking

Smart brands have always been very popular, but this popularity has exploded since Apple released the Artag portfolio in 2021. Since then, a large group of new options has struck the market. Comfortable design and features

Galaxy Smarttag 2 is small, and unlike its predecessor, it has a good shape, which makes it easy to hide in anything from pocket to wallet. Smarttag 2 is also incredibly thin, with a length of 8 mm, barely thicker than its battery. This means that it slides to the card hole from my wallet without adding a swelling, but it may not absorb the body of its thinner easily.

Outside its physical properties, it has a good feature collection. It contains a button that can perform up to three functions (two customizable two), based on one printing press or double pressure or pressure on it. Fortunately, there are not many negative things that can be said. Smarttag 2 is a well -rounded product that greatly improves on the old model. There are some negative aspects, and it may be important, depending on your circumstances.

If you don’t have the Samsung phone, do not buy this device. Like Apple Aartag, which only works with iPhone, this follower only works with Samsung phones and nothing else. Even if you download the SmartThings app on a different device, you will get “this device is only supported on Galaxy devices that run Android 9 or higher” when interacting with it. The NFC chip is activated inside the mark when it is placed in the missing mode, which can be read by anything with NFC and you will take the person to a web page with any message or communication details that you decided to share.

This is also factors if you will be able to find the follower, even if you have a Samsung phone. Samsung is very popular here in the UK, and this is likely the case in most places. However, unless the Samsung devices around you choose the Samsung network, they will not update the Smarttag 2. This was not a problem with my test, but the number of miles may vary.

Google has launched its own hardware tracking network, with products like the Moto brand launch recently. However, the launch of this network was slow, as it was limited to North America at the beginning and only widespread in another place.

Should you buy it?

If you have a Samsung phone, yes. My experience with Smarttag 2 was a good experience. It is easy to prepare and easy to get rid of, and I have not had any problems to find them.
