Review: Reolink Altas Pt Ultra Records Video 4K Accoun

by red

I hate to look like a hot broken record after reviewing the battery bell, but you should not sleep on safety cameras to restart. The Redas Pt Ultra offers the latest pioneer of the company, excellent video quality, especially its colorful night vision. Also, this model has a truly huge internal battery, which the company will last for more than a year between charging sessions, especially when using the solar panel supplement.

I highly recommend using the solar panel to compensate for the prepaid energy registration mode, which drained the huge battery within a week during my tests. If the solar panel is exceeded to save a few dollars, it is best to turn off this setting to the maximum battery life.

Redink Altas PT Ultra is easily one of the best 4K outdoor safety cameras that you can buy. Its video quality looks great day or night, and a jumbo battery remains more than a year when using the movement’s records. Pre -registration mode picks up a continuous video but it works better with the solar panel.

Price, availability and specifications

You can purchase the RLINK Altas Pt Ultra and Reolink Solar Panel 2 together on Amazon and Rolink for $ 230 (currently offered for $ 200). If you don’t want the solar power panel, the camera costs $ 210 (currently displayed for $ 180). Altas PT Ultra is a little cheaper than EUFY 4K security cameras at much affordable than ARLO ULTRA 2. Especially, a few prevailing brands provide tilt functions in this decision, while reconsidering Eofy and EUFY only.

Although you don’t need a cloud storage plan, you should buy a good MicroSD card – it supports up to 512 GB – to use the wonderful local video storage of the camera. Likewise, it is compatible with the ROLINK Home Hub accessories, such as the Home Hub Pro, which supports up to 16 terabytes of storage across 24 cameras. As of its launch, the only option is white.

Wonderful night vision and detailed 4K video quality

The day video quality in Altas PT Ultra was more consistent than night vision in the test, as it easily showcases the types of clothes and the types of body more than 100 feet. Some facial features appear 20 to 30 feet, depending on environmental lighting, although it is not surprising that I saw most of the details within 15 feet or less.

I love the colorful night vision in Altas PT Ultra- It is doing an excellent job to take full-color pictures in a state of appearing without highlighting. The timeline and street lights are often my only evidence on whether dusk or night is in the shots. The colored night vision of the camera tends to identify visible light sources of buildings and cars, especially when they shine directly in the lens.

Altas PT Ultra also includes the compact lighting spot. It is very useful in complete darkness, as there is not enough surrounding light until the colorful night vision works properly. I liked the brightness of the lights, but it requires some adjustments inside the app to avoid washing details on the topics near the camera.

Regardless of the time of the day, moving objects appear some distortion, although the effect is more clear at night. Although you should not expect a lot of details about people and vehicles exceeding 50 feet, the camera does an excellent job with rear creatures such as buildings and remote mountains.

I have found easy -to -use tilt control items in the recycling application, where the most useful settings are the point of monitoring and automatic tracking. The surveillance point determines the camera returning the camera after the transition, allowing to view a specific site while tracking the topics on it before leaving the frame. You can even know the tracking of cars to follow up on smart movement detection operators such as animals, people and vehicles.

The sound quality was good in the application and above the compact headphone when using the sound in two directions, although the microphone and amplifier are not strong enough to speak with people more than 15 feet away. The other Altas PT Ultra settings in the recycling application are common features such as allergies, motion areas, moving object brand, notifications, alarm bicycles, and recording options.

The reinstallation includes two options to install with Altas Pt Ultra. The first is a metal arc for heavy service attached to the wall or ceiling with four fat screws. After installation, you can pick up the camera on the bow and secure it with other screws. Another installation option is a simple belt that wraps trees or small columns and the top of the camera. I like how quickly the tape is used, but it is important to install it over the arr of ARM because it is easier to remove it.

Without charging solar energy, the pre -registration mode is chewed during the battery life

Try what I might do, I only have two simple NitPicks with resettlement Altas Pt Ultra. First, pre -registration mode is the fastest way to drain the battery. This mode, one of Altas PT Ultra on Argus 4 Pro, always records low -exercises shots to help show activity before the motion sensor preserves a standard video clip.

Rolink Argus 4 Pro Review: 4K Security Security with the support of local storage

What is the recipe for an excellent safety camera?

Rolink is not the first brand that offers such a feature-it immediately comes to mind, but the energy requirements for continuous registration make it uncommon on battery-running cameras. The company said that this feature should last about a week on one battery charge, and I can emphasize that the battery has decreased to only 30 % over a period of five days.

Fortunately, the solar panel listed with the sample unit provided enough charging during my external tests to reduce the appetite for pre -registration. Rolink also provides scheduling options when the mode runs and prepares the abolition associated with the remaining battery life. These features help cutting the additional battery drain.

My remaining country is very simple, it is not worth noting: the maximum tire rate is 15 frames per second. This means that you will not see branded videos like ARLO and Google Nest, or even some previous Reolink models. Fortunately, 15 frames per second are not enlarged or excessively filled, but there is some blurring movement that I can do without, especially in night lighting.

Should you buy it?

Wonderful choice for 4K monitoring at reasonable prices

Altas Pt Ultra depends on the date of reinstalling in excellent tilt safety cameras with steel 4K insertion. The daytime footage looks great, and the colorful night vision picks the most important details, although there is some unclear movement on moving themes. It is characterized by a long battery life, especially when used with a solar supplement. Pre -registration mode helps to record his activity that precedes a direct movement operator, but it uses the battery quickly when the solar charging is not available.

At $ 230, it is more expensive than the Arlo Ultra camera offers, but it is near the EOFY 4K camera offers. In general, it is worth searching for the following outdoor safety camera.
