DJI ‘Power 2000’ launches Portable Power Station

by red

DJI, best known for its line -off drones, has announced the launch of a portable power station today, Power 2000. DJI already provides Power 1000 and Power is a greater, more enabled version of 2000 power 1000.

DJI Power 2000 Maine
I have been able to test 2000 power before launch, to provide the product insight for those who are probably looking for a large power station option.

The DJI power 2000 has an LFP battery with 2048WH capacity, it doubles the power of 1000. It is designed to get multiple devices or large equipment and equipment in emergency situations, while off-grid, or when a traditional powerful power source is not available in the life situation of the van. It’s $ 1,299, so it’s not cheap, but it seems to be competitively priced.

DJI Power describes 2000 as compact and it is compared to some competitive products with similar competence but it extends the definition of portable. The weight of the power 2000 is about 50 pounds, so it is a device that is a backup, in an off-grid situation where you have the ability to transport it well, it is not ideal to carry around.

Most people do not want to expel a 50 -pound device for a day on the park or beach and if a car is not available it will not work for camping, such as a rental situation. Other, small power banks that are good for that purpose, but power 2000 is ideal for a home backup unit or vehicle life. If you need more power, Power 2000 supports 10 power expression battery unit (2048WH) for the total capacity of 22,528Wh.

DJI included two carrying handles on both sides of 2000, but it could do better. The power banks of this size come with a set of wheels and a stretch handle so that you can easily transport them and make it easier to move from 2000 to other places with something similar. Even taking it to different rooms and the weight taken out for the charging test was a functioning work during the review, though the size is a separate story. It’s heavy, but it’s smaller than my expectation. It measures 17.5 inches by 13 inches by 9 inches.

All ports are in front of 2000 to easily access. There are four AC ports that can use standard plugs, four USB-C ports, four USB-Ports, two biennial “smart” DC ports and two 1/4 “threaded Ports DJI accessories, solar panels and other devices at once, as well as multiple devices on multiple devices, as well as multiple devices. The other two ports support 65 W.

There is a power button that activates 2000 when you hold it for two seconds and a separate AC button that turns AC ports. A display on the front tells you that the drawing energy is key and how long the battery will last, or how much energy the device has been drawing from an outlet and how much energy is being recharge.

Power can handle 2000 total 3,000 wat, so it is strong enough to run most of the home equipment and device. It can handle the refrigerators (even full size), heater, microwave, portable AC units, medical devices and power equipment. Although a power 2000 is effective for power outfout, I see big batteries useful in situations where I need to use an equipment where there is no outlet.

I can put 2000 power in my gorilla cart and plug what I need. During the sanding, using a pressure washer, using hit songs, strengthening a shop vage and doing much more. My brother puts the same large power bank in his car in an emergency situation and I have used one for backup power. If you have ever had many hours or many-day power outage due to a weather event, you are aware of the utility of a large power bank or backup generator.

Power 2000 is my router and my only modem has enough power to give strength for more than 8 hours of workday, so if electricity is out of electricity I can still get online with AT&T Fiber. I’ve plugged in my PlayStation 5, 65 inches TV, Apple TV and some lights. The power draw was 400W, day or taken, and it was able to run everything for more than four hours.

The battery of my MacBook Air Charging Power 2000 has dropped from 100 percent to 95 percent and it has reduced the percentage of my iPhone 16 Pro maximum zero to 80 percent. I can’t check how many times I can charge my MacBook or iPhone because it will take forever, but on the basis of the test charge it should be conducted about 20 times a 1 MacBook air charging and an iPhone is more than 16 times more than 16 times. It can charge my camera battery more than 100 times and of course it can charge a DJI drone.

I do not have treatment equipment, but these types of batteries can be effective for CPAP machines, oxygen concentrators and other devices that need energy even after any conflict. Power 2000 has an alternative for a continuous power supply mode. It can be plugged in a wall outlet, a device can be plugged in 2000 and then if the energy is gone, the device will be without interruption. It also provides Passthru Charging, so you can use it as a charging station that extends the number of devices that can run from a single outlet.

DJI suggests that Power can run a router for 152 hours, 80 hours projector, a car refrigerator for 38 hours, 18 hours electronic fan and 180 hours a lamp. A DJI drone should be able to charge 24 times.

I have dried 2000 power to 2000 times during the test time. I don’t have enough time to determine how long it charge is, but in my experience this type of battery will be charged for months. You usually have to use them every three to six months for the best health and you do not want to save it with full charge. Power 2000 uses a lithium iron phosphate battery that DJI says that after 4,000 cycles, 80 percent of the capacity will be held and it is capable of maintaining energy for several months due to power management features.

The DJI app works with Power 2000, so that you can check the rest of the battery and get a textout on how long the accessories will last (the same reedout in the exhibition). The remaining battery estimates of DJI were correct and the actual battery in my exam was about 20 minutes in life. When I dropped the battery twice to zero, it was a zero reedout before going out of power, so I had a period of grace before it stopped.

The best part about Power 2000 is how faster it can charge. With a super charging mode, it can take up to 1,800 watt to charge up to 0 to 80 percent in 55 minutes. I did this to blow a fuse, so if you have a 15-Amp circuit, the circuit needs to be charged from an outlet without doing anything else. I have a 20-Amp circuit for a vase, which supports more power draws for quick charging.

Standard charging is about 1200W, and it takes less than two hours to charge, which is quite fast for me. Power 2000 is able to charge with a solar panel, and has sent a 100w model for the DJI test. At 100W, it is going to take a day to charge 2000 to 100 percent in the entire sun, so if you plan to recharge 2000 with solar, you would like a serious solar panel array. It was where I am in the summer, and our sunshine, 90-degree weather, but due to tree covering I do not get the entire 100w and the sun moves all day. Even partial sun or cloudy days will give some energy, so you will not be completely without complaint.

To attach a solar panel to Power 2000, DJI has a $ 60 solar panel adapter. It is simply connected to the DJI-reached zigness solar panels and it supports plugging in three panels for maximum 400W in adapter. Power 2000 can be used with other solar panels, but the solar panel requires a converter to connect to the adapter module. Other batteries like this have built ports for solar panels, so I’m not sure why DJI went on the adapter route.

You can also charge from a car up to 1000W, though it requires DJI Power Super fast car charger. The battery charged via a vehicle charge the whole in 145 minutes, as well as a car and solar combo for faster charging, and the option of pairing AC and DC charging. You can plug in Power 2000 and draw energy up to 2200W total from a solar panel or car charger.

The charging was quiet, and when I was plugged in, I just heard the power. DJI says that the word with standard charging is no more than 30 db, and if I am not right next to the word I couldn’t hear it. I don’t think it is warm when the devices are charged or charging themselves.

The DJI says that there are 26 built -in temperature sensors and 21 fuses to detect inconsistencies, preventing overcharging, overvoltage, overcontant and other protection problems. The device is made of flame-returned material and it has a load-bearing capacity of up to one ton, and it has internal protection against accidental water exposure and outdoor concentration. It can usually handle at temperature up to 113 degrees Fahrenheit.

There is a three -year warranty and the DJI DJI provides enhanced warranty to the registered customers.

Bottom line

DJI Power 2000 has a competitive price point and an interesting array of ports and features, so if you are looking for a battery with 2000Wh power, it is worth considering. The app is useful to keep an eye on the power transfer and I appreciated the high-power USB-C ports.

I would like to add the wheel and a handle to the DJI easy transport and if you want to charge the battery with a car or solar, there are several ad-on and accessories. When comparing DJI Power 2000 with competitive products you need to take those add-ons into account.

How to buy

Thanks for the current sale of DJI Power 2000 can be purchased from the DJI website for $ 1,099. The retail price is expected to be $ 1,299.

Note: The DJI provided a power 2000 to macrumors for this review. No other compensation was found.
