Review: New Stechi Slim Dock packages all the outlets that concern

by red

Chromebooks and strong Android panel devices have reached the level of competing desktop performance while keeping the portable and easy to carry. However, this usually comes at the expense of the thermal head room and input/output options on board. Fortunately, the latter is easily treated with a good berth, but choosing a person who fits your use completely may be a challenge.

If you are traveling frequently or are looking for I/O expanding, you will quickly discover that most sidewalks are large and heavy to live on your office, usually mono or dual -purpose. Enter the latest set of slim and multiple transformers, which turns Thunderbolt one on your device to up to seven other ports without running much more than lighter. We spent some time with version 7-in 1 to make sure it will not disappoint you.

New and fixed sale

Stechi is famous for the distinctive Mac accessories, but many of its products also work with famous Chromebooks and Android devices. They make some of the best sidewalks that we have recently tried and unveiled the latest range of multiple thinness transformers with ETHERNET, which prepares to replace the old axis design. New models also have lower restrictions on the plane.

The new squad of Stechi includes three different models of four, six or seven ports, costs $ 60, $ 70 and $ 80, respectively. It offers the cheapest HDMI port, two USB-A port and one USB-C PD port. The model, which contains six SDs and the MicroSD card hole to the previous collection, adds, while the 7 -in -1 model that we experienced includes the Gigabit Ethernet port as well.

Each design is available in three colors- Space Gray, Silver and Black-all are designed to suit Apple products that usually charge. All models are available for sale on Stechi.

What we liked in the Stechi USB-C Slim Multiport adapter

Strong building and performance to win

Stechi seems to have mastered the art of integrated peripheral design, even if many design elements such as round corners and material options are met directly from companies such as Apple. I got a black version test from the new 7-in 1 accusation cage, which is well. Black is usually a PVD coating that is applied to the material, and it feels uniform and distinctive with a gentle granular tissue and whistling visible ranges. However, you may need to deal with it carefully to prevent corrosion, especially while traveling.

The built -in Thunderbolt cable that connects to the host device is also very double and very, very severe. The brand of the product has been preserved to a minimum, which is also great to see it. I am pleased to inform you that all ports are clearly shown, using a contrasting color that is easy to read on the body.

With such design, your new Stechi adapter should feel at home with most high -end Android tablets and Chromebook books. Although it has not been announced as a restless game, the RJ45 Port cuts it expands to a useless size and makes a satisfactory sound “click” when opening and closing it. It requires a deliberate force, and I do not think it will be mitigated over time.

I did not face any serious restrictions or problems when using this adapter. Since it supports energy delivery, I can use it safely to expand I/O without worrying about battery tanks on the host device.

Upon use, you will estimate the light of the dull blue state indicator that glows and LED lamps for exploring and repairing errors. Transferring data is fixed and uninterrupted, and you can use any compatible cable to connect to a 4K screen at 60 Hz.

What I did not like about the Stechi USB-C Slim Multiport adapter

The joint frequency range is the curse

The Satechi Multiport adapter is a great attachment due to the massive choice of the outlets it offers. Since the thunderbolt 4 connection range shares the thunderbolt 4 connection display with Android or Chromebook, you may notice that individual ports do not support the latest standards or higher speeds. For example, the ETHERNET port can take Gigabit speeds instead of 10 GB, which is the standard. Likewise, the UHS-1 (104 Mbps) SD (104 Mbps) is crowned although Thunderbolt can support UHS-2 faster speeds.

Separately, Stechi determines that the USB-A ports on the plane does not support the delivery of energy to or from the host device, and the USB-C port will deal with energy but it will not support a secondary screen connection as well as the HDMI output to the transformer. There is another secondary Quirk that is not truly the charging support – the transformer can connect up to 100 watts to the host device, but it can only draw 80 watts of it when shipping a connected accessory in the direction of the river course.

This is far from fully -sized sidewalks such as the Stechi Station, but it is still an improvement compared to the previous generation of slim Satechi berths, which participated only 60 watts with the host or 15 watts of the estuary devices.

Although data productivity speeds are still sufficient to accomplish the task, I often found myself looking at SD card openings to direct the card properly before entering it. Signs mode can be more useful in this way. From the point of view of use, I just warned you that this transformer flows slightly to touch when the HDMI port is in use. If these details seem relatively simple to use, there is no mistake in this elegant small adapter.

Should you buy the latest Selim Al -Nahif transformer?

Installing a very specific use condition

A high contrast image of Stechi Slim Multiport

The charging devices are smaller with Gan Tech, but the sidewalks are still to expand I/O wholesale. Stechi’s attempt to get rid of this idea without haircuts seems to be the ideal balance. Yes, you are trading the speed and the huge number of ports for a few of each famous conductor in an elegant shape factor. However, the slim design makes this transformer a great companion to travel or a daily technical attaché for a person who needs the same sidewalk at home and work.

However, you are better off with a larger berth like Ugreen Revodok if the huge weight and size are not fears when you get more input/output along with amenities such as removing the display via Thunderbolt USB-C ports and Thunderstream ports for energy and data transfer. Some other small sidewalks may be more logical if you have more USB-C and Ethernet accessories.

However, it is difficult to make mistakes in building a strong Stechi and a distinct feeling if functional bits are sufficient to use you. A few brands accessories pay a lot of attention to detail with a focus on their simplicity and durability. In my case, this transformer now lives permanently in my technical travel bag. If you are looking to get one, be sure to buy the latest generation, because the previous Gen costs $ 80 and has many restrictions.

This new Multiport adapter is one of the smallest, providing everything from Ethernet and displaying directing to SD cards readers and its parking for other peripheral devices. It can be an indispensable supplement for productive, photographers, content created or anyone looking for an Ethernet converter that provides more than a fixed internet. With three colors and models at different price points, STECHI arrived home with minimal new transformers.
