Review: Bose’s QuietComFort is better than anything other than $ 200

When Bose renewed its calm line last year, a curious omission was made. Excess phones have arrived with the brand quietcomfort and Headcomfort Ultra, but only smaller earphones were presented as a step. Now, a year later, those most affordable ear headphones have arrived.

Bose is accustomed to dominance – well, along with at least Sony – the earphones market of $ 300, but less than $ 200 becomes more competitive things. There are more headphones such as Apple, Samsung and Google to confront them, and a hundred other voice brands that try to close the distinctive but unlimited price point.

Will Bose do enough to stop the crowd, or will the calm earphones be lost in the crowd?

This price is a little more than half of what you pay against the Ultra Ultra quietcomfort or super -open earphones, both of which reach $ 299.

What is useful in Bose Quietcomfort?

Everything is in the sound

The best thing in quiet ear headphones is the most important: it simply looks great.

I switched this from Jabra Elite 7 Pro, a similar pair of prices a few years ago, which was my virtual buds when I do not review. I am used to enjoying the key when I jump from these to an older husband, but I didn’t completely expect the batch of the batch clarity from Bose.

Even using the default EQ settings, these earphones are clear but crowded with detail, although somewhat sound audio. New albums from Jamie XX and Caribou have made me in the direction of dancing music recently, and here Bass Boost Prestet appeared in its own. The end of the low palp of Caribu honey Along my imagination, while Jimmy xx Fall together Simply appears exceptional, and there is sufficient brutal strength here that managed to maintain this 50 % sized mark.

ANC has proven to be impressive, which is the best I used to easily in buds of less than $ 200. It is still a step below the upper buds and a clear decrease from the best tastes, but the buds are comfortably accompanied by the buses in London and under the ground. The only place where they fell is to drown loud music strongly in the gym.

There is also a perceived position when you prefer to hear your surroundings, which is clear enough to pick up traffic noise, and about a coffee request without removing the buds, although I still find myself missing the individual word of Parista. It is still usually better just to take them out if you really need to speak to someone.

The battery life is the power of other clear buds. Bose says this can reach 8.5 hours between charges – which covers even a very long journey – and this is with ANC. (Screaming to Bose only to quote the battery life with the African National Congress Party, instead of colliding with its numbers by quoting without.

The coverage of the coverage provides other fees and a half, which gives you more than 30 hours in total, which in my case equals a week or so of listening. Nevertheless, I will explain later, you may not want to leave the case already running out. Shipping comes from USB-C or Qi Wireless.

The IPX4 classification on the buds themselves gives them some lighting protection from rain and sweat, although this is far from isolating complete water – and as much as I can say, there is no protection from water at all on the issue, only earphones.

What is bad in Bose Quietcomfort?

The first thing to be noticed about Quietcomfort is that you will not get every feature at all in the brand’s super ear headphones.

At the time of this report, there is no overwhelming audio support, although the company says the feature will be added in an update. Obviously, I did not try it, but if my previous experience with the spatial sound is anything, it is likely to be a Miss anyway.

What is definitely not on the road is the custom brand technology, which customizes the voice and the African National Congress party to suit your ears. This type of technology tends to make a change, and it is a shame that it did not make the pieces of quiet buds.

The only audio attraction I have is that although the African National Congress Party is generally great, wind noise is one major weakness. It was great in London recently, and on My Windier the sound of sound directly via Bose Buds, even with ANC. Other companies have worked on algorithms to learn and reduce these noise, and the calm earphones will benefit from the same thing.

Perhaps the strangest option that Boss did is to charge the quiet ear headphones through their Bose QCe app. This may not seem very strange, except for the fact that the Bose has a completely good Bose app that extends almost all the amplifiers, headphones and other earpieces, including other modern Quietcomfort products.

If these are the only Bose products, you will not really care about the app that you should use – the Bose QCe app is completely good, including EQ control items, buttons, and battery control. But if you have other sound equipment, it is unnecessary to be unable to manage these buds with the rest.

The largest negative aspect of Quietcomfort buds is just as big. I think this is the way they get along the huge life. But these are large buds with a large charging box, and it is a type of largest that you do not get used to in earphones these days.

It is not at least heavy, but the issue is large enough to be embarrassing to slip into the pants pocket. I feel that the buds look a bit large in my ears as well, which are detracted from the elegant design. Nevertheless, this means that there is enough space to seize the buds and adjust them without clicking on the repetitive-skeptic-skeptic sensor surface with a frequent skeptic with the design of the old galaxy buds.

For convenience, the ear tips and silicon are nine different groups, so there should be a size that suits you. Unfortunately, I have found that the size that fits safely in my ears tends to suffer with a little long listening sessions, so I will not hold these most comfortable buds around them.

Finally, there is one unexpected grip, (the reason I warned against running the battery down), the buds will not be paired with my phone if the battery is not left in the box, even if the earphones are fully charged. They seem to need energy in the case to run the conjugation process, which really means that you cannot actually get 30+ hours of the battery, as the final full charges cannot be reached. I did not face this at earphones before, and I hate it completely.

Should you buy it?

If the sound quality is your priority, then yes. Frankly, I am not sure if you will find better earphones for $ 180, especially if ANC is also important for you. This looks enormous for the price, and I expect it will be a new virtual ear headphones for this reason alone. Throw the long battery life, and there is a lot you like here.

I have complaints, but I think the XL size is the only one that I think should be a factor if you are considering buying this. The embarrassing app and that strange condition bother me, but they are small complaints in the large scheme of things.

It was weighed against audio excellence, the standards are still raised in favor of Bose.
