I have taken a look at several 4K displays for the past few years, but the company has taken things to the next level with its new 27 -inch precision 5K Touch display. It has been announced about a year ago that the 5K Touch recently started shipping to provide a high-quality display experience with sufficient pixel concentration of the entire retina to support the entire retina, but there is also touchscreen effectiveness through both stylus and finger.
I have been experiencing the touches of precision 5 for a few weeks, and I am fascinated with the quality and overall effectiveness of the display, though regularly $ 1,600 price tags can break some potential customers while weighing against other non-apple 5K display options.
The precision of the alogic provides a resolution of 5k Touch 5120 × 2880 and many pixels on the 27 -inch display means packing it means that it usually can display a 2560 × 1440 HIDPI desktop of great true retina quality at the distance. It offers crisp text and graphics without a possible performance penalty and visual patterns that can result in non-pixel-sequence scaling in lower pixel density.

Clear 5K Touch is a glossy display, and alogic when it seems to be an anti-reflective finish feature, if you use it in an environment where there is a significant amount of light or nearby windogles, the glitter is very clear. Depending on the relative positions and angles of those illumination sources, and depending on your sitting position, the flash can sometimes interfere with visibility, so it is important to consider where you are planning to use the display.
The construction of the display looks like Feel, the stand is mainly made of silver aluminum for good custody and stability. A hole in the stand neck helps cable to reduce their visibility. In addition to adjustable height across 145 mm range, precision 5K Touch Tilt (5º forward 20º back), swivel (25º left or right) and pivot consistency for maximum flexibility. If you prefer to use the display in the portrait orientation, you can pivot the display up to 90 degrees, while Tilt and Swivell only help you get the display in the right position, which is especially helpful in trying to ease the glair. The display body has a silver plastic enclosure on the top and bottom of the ventilation pole, which is perfectly sufficient in my opinion that I rarely do not look back at it. Nevertheless, this is a simple and clean design, just without high quality aluminum you will find an Apple display.
Around the screen, the black bezels that I have become thin, the same size around the top and the side, and somewhat bezel underneath the limesty, which is not a doubt that the touchscreen hardware is moving towards the housing. While connected to the USB-C, the precision 5K can support up to 65 watts of charging on a connected computer, but if the display is in HDR mode, it drops to 45 watts. This is enough to keep something like MacBook Air, or possible, the 14-inch MacBook Pro, is charged, but if you start demanding work flow on more powerful machines, especially on 16-inch-macBook Pro, it may not be able to continue with the display. It was said that it was able to keep up with my 16-inch MacBook Pro.
Then the precision 5K has a unique touchscreen ability to touch 5K, as Alaogic claims that it is the first 5K touchscreen display in the world and we have not yet seen anything to argue in a small number of 27 inch 5K displays in the market. Install a Mac driver from the Aleogic Product Page (Windows machines should support functionality outside the box) and allow appropriate permissions and you will be able to interact with an active stylus (MPP) with Microsoft (MPP), such as Active Stilas Pen.
The updated commander app provided as part of the driver installation is not the most beautiful Mac app you will ever see, but it provides a different type of tap, press, swipe and a function of customization settings to help the tachscreen experiences to optimize for the tapsscreen experience. For example, you can set up a two-finger tap as a finger tap and right click as a traditional mouse click, swipes in different places can do the dock or hide, request mission control or reduce Windows. Bon-finger rotation and pinch gestures can also be configured to handle on-screen content and depending on which application you are on you can set up different verbs for the gestures.
Like my previous reviews of these families of the exhibits, I still see the touching functioning more appropriately as a secondary input method, as it is very efficient to try to use the touch input as a full-time control (not mentioning fatigue in the arm) and the touch of the keyboard is constantly transferred from the mouse to the mouse. So if you want to turn your Macaca into a complete touch experience, you will probably be disappointed.
Although the effectiveness is not effective, the most useful scene for the touch input in my opinion is in a multi-display setup where the precision 5K Touch acts as a secondary monitor. I kept the mail, slack and a few other applications open forever on a display next to my original display and it was great to be able to tap or swipe quickly to see emails or scroll my feeds without moving my mouse cursor back all over multiple display. But everyone’s situation is different, so consider how you can use a touch-capable display in both your workflow and your physical setup.
The glossy display will choose fingerprints over time as you touch, but it is not a big deal when you keep the bright illumination flask away from the screen. Otherwise, one occasionally wipe it with a microfiber cloth.
The built-in 5-watt speakers provide a good amount of volume and provides an amazingly immersed word that I think reflects the wall behind my desk from their rear-firing orientation, although the overall sound is somewhat blank, such as plastic enclosure, such as integrated displays in plastic enclosures.
Clear 5K Touch does not include a built-in webcam, but Aloogic 12-Megapixel 4K sells an illuminated light bar with Autofocus Webcam that is connected via USB-C and a magnetic remote remote dial control to help to illuminate your workplace.
The precision 5K touch price is usually $ 1,599.99, though it is currently being sold for 10% discount, the price brings the price to $ 1,439.99. If you think that touchscreen functionality can be effective, precision 5K touch is the only option in your current market. If that is not the case, you may want to consider one of the “Apple Studio Display 1 or a few more 27 inch 5K displays that are currently available at a significantly lower price.
