LG Tone Studio Review: A new collection of earphones and loudspeakers, but somewhat useless

As far as headphones go, the LG Bluetooth headphones from LG look strange. They do not really follow the standard design in the ear or excessive ear, and instead they choose a battery base around your neck. However, they are still amazing. I see people wearing more more than I expect. LG did something here. The new LG Tone Studio (HBS-W120) is set on the tone line by offering a second way to listen: loudspeakers. This is true – at this base there are four speakers aimed at creating a “personal voice experience” (LG Lyrics, not mine). In theory, this looks like an interesting idea – listen with earphones in calm areas, rocks with loudspeakers at home or while you are outside. In practice, though it is not as perfect as LG wants to think.

You may not like the look of Tone Studio, but it is difficult to deny the comfort of the matter – a lot, in fact, you may legally forget that you are wearing it sometimes. This is thanks to its strong plastic structure, which keeps things lightweight despite all the ingredients inside. The piece in the middle that comes into contact with your neck is soft and flexible, allowing it to sit comfortably for all shapes of the neck. The earphones themselves are also lightweight, which makes them comfortable in your ears as long as you use the right advice.

The different buttons and keys are somewhat confusing in the beginning, but they are easy to learn. The switch between earphones and loudspeakers is easy as switching. Other jobs worth noting include the storage volume (in the image above), the reply button/audio assistant, auxiliary inputs, eloquent skipping and repetition. The Repetition button has long tells you about your battery condition, and although the alarm icon is alongside the SKIP button, I couldn’t get it to do anything. I am not sure that I want to set an alarm with my Bluetooth headphones in the first place. I am not a fan of the battery status function, too, as there are only three possible answers: “high battery”, “medium battery” and “lower battery”. This is better than nothing, but it is really not useful. Was the programming in some sound the percentage very difficult?

Plating earphones from the base is simple – this will come out to 8.5 inches. The wires that appear thin, but look strong enough. If you do not want the wire length to be 8.5 inches complete, you can stop clouds whenever, and the wire will remain in a position (like stations on the car door). To retreat, just give them another clouds (or two, if they are not extended throughout the way) and you will have to give them a small boost to get it in their home, though.

In our review of LG Tone Infinim, another premium in the tone collection, we thought that the sound through the earphones was good. This is still true here, with a beautiful and clear sound that comes out of lightweight buds. Mids looks good and the bus produces some satisfactory, even if not all of this is strong. Then again, given $ 229.99 of MSRP, it will be somewhat unfortunate if anything else is true.

Speakers are more than a mixed bag. LG put four speakers (two on top, two at the bottom) at Tone Studio in an attempt to make a surrounding sound effect. The result? The effect exists, but the sound quality pumped by loudspeakers is not very good. It is more severe than earphones, and it is disappointment given that speakers are the most prominent of this device. In addition, when you raise the sound (it can be very loud), you get this loud effect on your neck, which you may love or not love. LG calls this “wearing brightness”, but it seems like the side effect of the loudspeakers on your skin more than a real feature. The brow on these small headphones is not anything that should be proud of anyway; It is not very strong.

I can see listening to podcasts, YouTube videos, and perhaps even some films with them for the impact of the peripheral sound, but I prefer to use compact earphones if I listen to music. You should also consider the general use of speakers; When should this be enabled exactly? If you are at home, I prefer to use a laptop or Bluetooth speaker. If you are out and around, I prefer not to detonate what I listen to to other people in the area. Moreover, if it is a high place, I will not be able to hear the loudspeakers well anyway.

This leaves only a few of the truly specific use cases of speakers – perhaps if you are taking a lot of walking in the garden or you have a car with a radio that has been seized, loudspeakers can be considered a professional for you, but it is likely to be used very slightly.

Battery life

This is the field in which the Tone Studio really excels. Most Bluetooth headphones in the ear must pressure their batteries in some corners and Curling at the risk of sacrificing the work environment, which means that they should be small and somewhat effective. But thanks to the large headphone base, the battery size restrictions are not really a problem. In fact, the battery life is actually one of the main points of sale in the tone assortment, which cannot be said to many wireless electronics.

This appears to be equal with what you faced; After playing music with earphones for six hours, in addition to about two hours from the headphone time, I got a “medium battery” sound when you played it. After leaving them without touching and restarting them for about two weeks, I still get the same “battery in the battery.” Grant, this is not a very accurate test, but let’s put it in this way: you will not need to worry about recharge every night with this. When you need to recharge, you will be able to do this in less than two hours.

LG Tone Studio (HBS-W120)

Tone Studio is marketed as a “personal speaker that can be worn”, which I do not think is appropriate due to the quality of speakers for earphones, as well as realistic usage cases limited to those loudspeakers. I prefer to think about the Tone Studio as a very good set of Bluetooth earphones with an excellent battery life that comes with some loudspeakers, but at this stage, you can also buy Tone Infinim for about $ 90, which is almost with everything that Tone Studio provides for sub -headphones.

I enjoyed using Tone Studio, but not for the reason that LG wants you to buy a pair. MSRP is of $ 229.99 is ridiculous, but the current price on Amazon as this article is more acceptable, at a price above $ 170. If it is my money, I will definitely go to the above -mentioned lion, use $ 90 or so to buy a decent Bluetooth speaker. Certainly, it is not convenient to carry two things around them, but when these two ideals are separated, both are superior in their applications and Cheape, it is irrational.
