HTC U11+ Practical Training: HTC steps in the era of modern smartphone

by red

Six months have passed since HTC launched the pioneer of 2017, U11, and although this phone was a significant improvement in the recent Taiwanese company’s recent efforts, some may not believe that it got the imagination when compared to competing devices from competitors such as Samsung and LG. There is a lot of work to be done if HTC wants to reach anywhere near the return to its noble position, which he kept once in the scene of the Android smartphone, and the upgrade may not be to U11 after six months the worst place to start.

As U11 failed to recognize the main trends of 2017, U11+ is a bit of correction of the training course. The QHD+ 6 -inch screen (2880 x 1440) contains a width ratio to a height of 18: 9 surrounded by the edges that are largely preserved, and the fingerprint scanner has been transferred back, which most commentators agree on the media is the best site. HTC has also cleared courageous buttons in favor of moving on the screen, which is a great advantage for me, even if some people still support the old alternative. In addition to correcting some of these errors, HTC also kept a lot, making U11 a good phone. U11+ contains the same Snapdragon 835 processor, the same impressive camera unit, and the same light -weight HTC skin. It also adds the latest version of the operating system, as one of the first phones that you ship with Android 8.0 Oreo.

The first thing I noticed about U11+ once the screen is running is that the chin and the front are not what I expect from the HTC phone. It is largely smaller, even if it does not have the same as a brilliant success factor as Samsung Galaxy S8 or LG V30. There is no three -dimensional glass or curved on the edges of the screen or significantly rounded angles on the screen, but the design of this phone undoubtedly improves U11 and everything else has recently put HTC (including the first generation of HTC and Pixel smaller 2). Face to face, is not different from Huawei Mate 10, and I can say frankly that I think it looks nice, if not beautiful, from the front.

The back of the most prominent phone provides evidence that this is linked to U11, as it uses the same eye -looking liquid surface color. The unit with which it dealt with black ceramic, the only color that would be available when the phone was launched in Europe later this month. This name is likely to be very misleading because it is clearly made of glass, although it is difficult to deny that the end is similar to the back of the primary Ph-1, which is He is Made of ceramic. Like its glossy predecessor, the U11+ body is a fingerprint magnet. It seems great when you pick it up for the first time, but this will not last long, and I know that I will spend a lot of my time wiping the thing with a micro -fiber cloth trying to return it to its previous glory. However, it is an attractive part of the devices, and since it is unlikely that many people will end with one, I am sure that it may be made to start the conversation.

Once the screen turns, I found the Super LCD 6 bright and vibrant panel. It also uses a wide DCI-P3 color chain and supports a vibrant HDR10 video.

When it comes to the program, I couldn’t collect much. The experimental units were running incomplete programs, and we were only told that the main screen was completely the final experience. With Snapdragon 835 and 6 GB of RAM, it is almost without saying that the performance was very fast in the short time that you used to U11+. One thing I did not play is a new version of Edge Sense, which indicates pressure on the sides of the phone to stimulate the procedure. It can be prepared to do a variety of things, such as calling a smart assistant, taking a picture, or opening a specific application. The customization options seem to be somewhat strong, and it can make them lead to a different function in any application. You can turn on Google Assistant and Amazon Alexa at the same time, if you like it, you wake up short or long, respectively, only if both systems are used.

There is a new feature called Edge Launcher, which brings a wheel -like user interface (in the image above) if you click during the main screen, and its purpose is to make navigation with one with one easier hand. It is a reaction to the increase in the size of smart phone screens, and it is something that I can see I already use. It allows you to access your favorite applications and services without having to direct them, and this may be a savings in the actual time. At the same way, you can also scroll down from anywhere on the usual Homscreen screen to access the notifications, instead of reaching the top of the screen. Other third -party launchers have already applied this, and I was surprised that Google did not build these functions in the new pixel bomber, because accessing the top of the Pixel 2 XL can be embarrassing at times.

Audio will be a major selling point for HTC U11+, which includes high -resolution, high -resolution, Qualcomm AptX HD, and LDAC 24 bits. I managed to play the Bonobo song that was installed quickly, although only a regular mp3 file, but it looks good. There is a front speaker in the ear and another on the bottom edge of the phone next to the USB-C port. I am not a fan of the bottom loudspeaker, as it is easy to cover, especially when keeping the device in the landscape of the video, but the sound that everyone produces together was impressive. Voice adopting data for this phone does not extend to the headphone socket, so it will depend on Bluetooth or USB-C.

There are a lot of things that I haven’t been to look at in my time with U11+, like the camera – which is likely to be very good. The phone has a huge 3930 mAh battery that should be translated into impressive life. These sides and many others will be placed through their steps when we receive our review unit. But my initial impressions are definitely positive. I will admit that I have not used HTC on a large scale since the Hashim fire several satellites. This was a budget device that has grown to despise it. I am definitely excited to spend more time with U11+, though. It seems to have all the ingredients that should have a competitive pioneering phone in 2017. In fact, it is possible that the phone that should have been launched in May instead of the original U11. But although HTC is still playing to catch up with knees, it may have closed the gap somewhat.

HTC U11+ will be available for pre -order on November 20. It will cost 699 pounds in the UK and 799 euros in Europe. For full specifications, take a look at the advertising post, and for more information, please visit HTC.com.
