OnePlus 5T Practical Training: Expected Promotion

OnePlus is no longer satisfied with the launch of only one major phone every year. Just like the last session, we face a new smartphone not completely new. OnePlus unveiled the OnePlus 5T, a phone that has been largely expected to see. This is not only because of the leaks – we all know what to expect from OnePlus now. This is not necessarily a bad thing, though. Even with the rise in small prices, this is still a strong competitor.

design

OnePlus 5T looks a lot like its predecessor, OnePlus 5, which was launched just a few months ago. While 3T last year was external identical with OnePlus 3, 5T changes are mostly external. OnePlus 5T has the same monochromatic structure as OP5. There is still a “round tape” that tracks along the edge, and even the finish of the anode is the same. This means, it’s really smooth. I am pleased that OnePlus is adhering to aluminum instead of going to glass, like many other original equipment manufacturers. However, I hope there will be more texture for the phone.

OnePlus was killing her when it came to the fingerprint sensors – the OnePlus 5 sensor was the fastest when launching it. However, the sensor was at the front of the phone. I know some people like that, but I prefer to have fingerprint sensors on their back. This is where 5T moved the sensor, so I dig it. The speed and accuracy are still good, but it may be slight More slow than the OP5 sensor. I will need more time to get to know this. The sensor cut may be very shallow – it flows almost with the surface. The most essential lip around the sensor will make it easy to find touch and help install the phone in your hand.

The fingerprint sensor had to move due to the most important change in the devices. The screen has now become a 6 -inch OLED panel of 18: 9. 980 x 2160 – resisted OP the desire to jump on a 1440 -pixel cart. The default calibration is very vibrant, and perhaps very vibrant for some. There are many alternative calibration options including SRGB and DCI-P3. Calibration is more sound on OnePlus 5T compared to OP5 in all of these settings.

The longest screen is a victory – this is definitely the direction that I want to see the phones continues. And yes, this is still the Samsung Oled panel. You may wonder about gelatinous scroll. I had difficulty noticing this on OP5, but I was staring at this painting to see if I could discover any hint of it. To date, I don’t see the effect of the gel.

Cameras

Although I didn’t get 5T long enough to tell you with certainty, I feel that this camera setting may be a step back to OnePlus. While OnePlus 5 had a standard camera associated with close shooting, this phone has a regular 16 -megapixel camera and a low -light secondary unit at 20 megapixels. Both cameras have the same F/1.7 opening, but the secondary camera seems to implement the “smart pixel technology” to enhance low light performance.

OnePlus 5T turns into a secondary camera whenever the surrounding light decreases to less than 10 lux. However, it does not tell you when this happens in the user interface. You are supposed to trust the camera to do the right thing. I also think it is strange to keep the 2x zoom button in the camera app when you don’t have a phone lens anymore. Zoom here is just digital zoom, but OnePlus has been improved up and down at the quality of the processing technique.

Therefore, I do not sell the value of that second camera yet. I will say that having a second camera is useful if you want to take footage in the photo position. They will come out better than most phones that contain one camera and a fake depth with software. You may also be interested in knowing that the camera has grown slightly larger to accommodate the new camera unit.

programming

This phone is still charged with Android 7.1.1 Nougat. OnePlus has the usual excuses about not launch with Oreo, and says the update is coming. I have no doubt that he will get Oreo before most phones, but it is still strange to launch a new phone on the program last year.

There are not many changes to talk about this time. There are some adjustments to the settings lists, as well as some small visual adjustments on the home screen. Now that OnePlus has turned to the presence of mobility buttons on the screen only, he made some customizations. You can still switch the button, but the style is no longer directly outside the Android system. The buttons are slightly smaller and closer to the middle, and they are gray against a light background instead of white in black. I expect this to be related to reducing burning.

Perhaps the most prominent “addition” is the renewed focus on opening the face. You can thank Apple for this. It is strange that the preparation process does not suggest you add fingerprints to OP5T. Instead, it drives the opening of the face. There is nothing magic about opening the face on this phone. It only uses the front camera, so it is not safe or accurate as the Apple does.

After preparing the opening of the face, it achieved average success in opening the phone with it. Sometimes the lock screen is almost immediately skipped. At other times, the camera cannot take a clear look because I hold the phone at a bad angle or that the light is not true. Perhaps this is why most phones do not make a large deal of the face.

conclusion

OnePlus increased the price slightly every time you announce a phone. This device will start from $ 499, that is, only $ 20 more than OnePlus 5. This is not as bad as price increases. The larger display and rear fingerprint sensor are enough for me to be well with the price. However, the camera interests me, and why does this phone not have Oreo?
