conclusion
Amazon provides various cloud services to consumers and companies. In fact, some Amazon’s home security services use to store video. It makes sense to enter Amazon in this market because it is increasingly paying home automation with Alexa. Cloud Cam is an internal security camera 1080 pixels with a competitive price point of $ 120 when it is not for sale. This camera has a lot for that, but it is clear that Amazon still begins only in the safety of the house – the cloud camera has lost enough so that other cameras are better, even if they are more expensive.

Design and preparation
The cloud camera carries a transient similarity with Nest Cam IQ, which is the most expensive hundreds of dollars. The quality of construction does not look at the level of the nest, though. This does not mean that the cloud camera is badly built – it’s good, and this is something that I will return to a lot in this review. Many things about this camera are only fine. Not better than competition, but okay when you think about the price.
There is a plastic adjustment between the cylindrical camera unit (about 2.5 inches across) and the base that allows you to adjust the angle. MicroUSB power cable is connected to the back of the camera, which then hangs behind the pregnant woman. Energy delivery at the base would have made a cleaner look, but the base is just a part of plastic. There is no battery, so the cloud camera will remain functional only when connected. If you can manage the cable, it is a compact and counterfeit camera that will not attract much attention.
The preparation for the cloud camera is an easy theory, but I had some wrong beginnings here. The camera enters the conjunction as soon as it is connected for the first time, and the Bluetooth app is used to find the device and its composition. Perhaps this was where my problem was – Pluetooth always doing strange things. The camera was not discovered in the first several times I tried to prepare, but I was working after pulling the ingredients and re -performing.
After that, the process was very smooth. The application is asked to set a name for the camera and add the WiFi network. The broadcast begins immediately and you are ready to play with settings.
Video and audio quality
Amazon’s Cloud Cam has 1080 pixels with a 120 -degree width field. This is a little tight than the NST or ARLO cameras, which are about 130 degrees. 120 degrees are good for most interior spaces, and I will give Amazon credit to maintain the edges of the frame mostly free of distortion.
With normal interior light, an excellent Cloud Cam video. It is clear, and there is no archaeological or foggy movement. The brightness appears to be topped with other cameras, which may be a feature if your room is a little dim. However, there is no HDR until exit from exposure. As a result, areas of the frame are bombed significantly.
I have noticed that Cloud Cam tends to switch to night vision when I feel that he should be able to work in placing normal daylight. This is not breaking a deal, but the IR-Lluminated image will be monochrome instead of full color. The LEDS eight infrared episode does a good room in lighting the room. Anything that moves inside the frame should be hunted.
In night vision mode although it is still noticeably light (inside).
I am surprised by the sound of sound quality in Cloud Cam. Sometimes this is a later idea for camera makers, but the next sound through the multi -directional microphone is a brittle. The speaker is also cute and loud with a very little delay. He is doing the task although he is facing back, just like a CAM loudspeaker.
The app and features
Now it should be clear that the cloud camera is a piece of devices. It is a similar story with the application – it gets a lot of right, but some features are missing. The Cloud Cam app is only: Cloud Cam. It does not connect to any Amazon devices or services, and the set of features are somewhat naked. The result is to download the application quickly, and feed the live in about two seconds. This is one of the fastest times among wire cameras.
The camera feeding is loaded at the top of the application, and at the time you have modern clips. It is good to have everything on one screen, and you can click on any clip to start it immediately – there is almost no delay. This screen also contains options to delete, download and share the clip.
By default, the camera launches a notice whenever you see the movement, but you can also discover people who have a distinct subscription. Discovery of movement can be adjusted in the settings, but you cannot have silent notifications when you are at home. All you get in this section is to reduce prices. With excellent subscription, you can at least create areas in the frame that will not lead to alerts. This is useful if you have got something like a camera showing for the camera. It is a good idea that the option to operate the cameras and turn it down based on your site.
The notifications come quickly, but they do not include a lot of information. All you get is the time of detection and if it is a movement or a person (note: certain people cannot be identified). There is no screenshot in the notification as you happen with some other cameras. There is one major problem here: You are the only one who gets these notifications. The Cloud Cam does not have support for multi -user access, so the only way to share camera feeding is to allow someone else to log in to your Amazon account. Amazon also lacks a web interface to display the camera feeding.
If you are looking for smart home integration, it is better to live in the Amazon world. There is the main version of Cloud Cam, of course. This person works with some smart locks to allow Amazon connection drivers to open your door and leave your packages. If you have a Fire TV, you can flow from Cloud Cam via Alexa. Therefore, you only need a phone with Alexa or any Echo devices. There is no assistant integration Google because Amazon. It does not interact with other services, there is no Ifttt support.
Amazon Stores Video for 24 hours on the free account, but paid plans are well priced. The plans support up to 10 cameras (there are no individual fees in La for $ 6.99, Amazon will provide your video for a week. At $ 9.99 per month, you get two weeks. Video storage month will be played $ 19.99.
conclusion
If you need a few security cameras all over the house and do not want to break the bank, the cloud camera is the way at all. It provides a sensation of the pak, even if there are a few lost features. Although the absence of multi -users may serve as deals for some.
If you want more types of cameras (such as wireless or outdoor), the Cloud Cam will only complicate your setting. It is also deeply integrated with Amazon’s ecosystem. For those of us with Google and Chromecasts all over the house, it may not be the perfect device.
