Apple iPhone Lightning Dock Review: Normal design with broad compatibility, but some stability concerns

The history of the iPhone Docs is rather hit-ba, the company’s latest designs for the iPhone, which are usually designed for iPhones, are made up of profiles, preventing the use of cases on iPhones, and the docs make the next iPhone design.

It has changed with the new iPhone Lightning Dock, the entire eight months after the launch of the iPhone 6 and 6 Plus was launched yesterday. Depending on the new dock connector, the device is a small, slightly flexible nub embedded in a form-fitting iPhone-shaped disappointment for a common thunderbolt connector.

The design has some advantages: it provides a clean and general appearance and it fits with an iOS device, including a thunderbolt port, including many, including the case. The lack of a rescued docking region keeps the Touch ID Home button on the iPhone easily accessible when the device is dock.

Of course there are some downside, but the most obvious stability. Being the only means of support for the thunderous connecting iPhone, the device tends to be on the side when the device is shaking. And when the thunderbolt connector is very visually embedded at the base of the firm and does not feel at risk of being damaged, users may concern about the potential damage to the thunderstorm port on their iPhone if the device is strongly pushed when mounted on the dock.

For those who are not horribly concerned about the possibility of accidental damage, the dock works well. It is easy to mount the iPhone on the dock and it is easy to remove the iPhone from the dock as soon as you lift the iPhone from the side of your hand to remove it together. General stability against tipping is strong, as the weighty dock base means it does not feel the top-sheet mounted on the iPhone.

The dock is officially compatible with all the iPhones and iPod touch models with the lightning connector, but yes, it will also work with the iPads. This may not be a great idea, however, the cause is much less stable on the dock and the possibility of electricity connector or port loss is significantly higher with the possibility of greater torque at that single point.

The back of the iPhone Lightning Doc has a power port to allow you to use a standard adapter or directly to connect the computer to the USB cable as well as using a 3.5mm audio out jack. Jack allows you to attach the speakers or headphones to make the device an audio easy to play from the iPhone as well as the device. Headphone remote functions are also supported through the dock, allowing users to easily control playback and adjust the volume.

As common for Apple’s accessories, the iPhone power dock is not cheap for $ 39. Given the length of the duration after the latest iPhones are launched, there is an array of cheap dock options, and other docs are often more significant at the similar or higher price points, and provide greater physical support for the devices that are resting. However, for those users who prefer to keep their desktop environment as Apple-branded as possible, the new iPhone Lightning Dock is a reasonable option that I hope to be consistent with the new model in the future.
