Tribit X-Boom Review: incredible Bluetooth speaker for money

Quick links

I will be honest – when we were first contacted about the new Tribit X -Boom examination, I didn’t expect much of it. I have never heard of the company, and the design looked slightly caricature. Moreover, the price of $ 69.99 was much lower than competing forms from companies such as UE and JBL. But after using it, I learned that the phrase “Do not judge a book from its cover” is well suited here. Don’t make me wrong; X-Buom is not perfect. I still think the design is a bit strange, and it is bound by features. In the areas of interest, though, this thing can put loudspeakers that cost weak shame.

Goodness

voice

It is amazingly fragile, and it can be loud.

Foolish

It is good by default, but things are more impressive when pressing the “XBASS” button.

design

The many buttons make things very comfortable, and the open and lower open programs make a nice visual effect.

price

$ 69.99 is a very competitive price for this.

Not very good

Design (again)

Public aesthetic is not cleaner, and it is difficult to take off the flap over the charging port and input AUX.

Features

There is not much, and there is no accompanying application.

cumin

Tribit informed us that early units work to ship using the fixed programs for carbonated animals that cause a lot of cumin, which is a big problem.

Design, devices and battery

There are a lot of things I like about X-Boom, but the design is not one of them. This thing definitely follows the function on the model, with its rugged appearance and the three cartoon buttons. This is good, but I can only think that the giant white buttons in the front could have been more aesthetic. The same buttons (sound level, play/stop, and size) are nice and tangible, though. I am also not a fans of the belt with a higher silicone, which does not seem to be removable. I greatly prefer the final ears in a metal ring hidden at the bottom. However, you can just cut it if it really disturbed you.

Outside, from top to bottom, there is a power button, four small circles to indicate the battery level, the pairing button from the Bluetooth, the “XBASS” button (guess what it does), and finally, a giant flap covering the AUX and Micro-Usb charging outlets. This flap is necessary to resist IPX7 (but not dust), which most loudspeakers in this category. Unfortunately, it is very difficult to withdraw, even with longer nails, but I assume this is better than the speaker gets water.

The upper and lower part have an interesting trick for parties: they are visually collided with a bass, just as with the actual loudspeakers. As expected, they do not move much in low quantities, but they really start shaking when running, especially when you press the XBASS button.

Although I love the job that this design provides, X-Boom cannot be considered scenes. Then again, this is not a great consideration for most people when they look to buy a Bluetooth speaker.

Like most of these amplifiers, X-Boom is recharged using the Micro-Usb cable (it is really included in the box). The input is classified on 5V/2A, so that it occurs very quickly, but you will have to deal with a massive flap over it (and the AUX port) each time. I understood that this is intended to resist water, but it is almost impossible to open this one if you do not have longer nails. I usually had to seize something to stimulate an open flap.

Tribit claims that the 5200 mAh X-Boom battery will last for up to 20 hours. Given that the battery increases twice the capacity of the 2800 mAh Boom 2 package, which claims UE 15 hours, I have no problem to believe it. But as always, the battery life will vary depending on the size, inactivity time and other factors, so it is difficult to give a difficult number. However, I can tell you that I was not worried about the X-Boom battery life when taking it.

Voice and features

This is where the X-Boom really lights up. My foundation lines for speakers in this category are UE and Last Gen Boom, so be ready to make comparisons with these. I am pleased to say that X-Boom compares very positively, although it costs a little less than them.

X-Boom sound is very clear and balanced. Neither ue boom 2 and the explosion reaches X-Boom in this regard, although it increases a noticeable sound. However, X-Buom still votes loudly, and the quality of the sound in those high folders of any of these headphones is not beautiful anyway. The design allows 360 degrees and 12W sound drivers to go in all directions, but it still looks great for the only listener.

Bass on the X-Boom, especially with the XBASS option, is very huge. Boom 2 or the explosion cannot match, and I say that the Thumps you produce revolves around the largest and most expensive Megablast. This speaker punctures much higher size and price scale.

The unit that I received initially has some serious problems in cumin; Within 1-2 minutes of video play, the sound will be very backward. This seemed a little strange to me, but Tribit told us that the early units that are shipped with these fixed programs for animal carts, and will continue until the old stock is sold within about a week. After I asked about this, I sent Tribit on the updated fixed software file. A little flashing was a little work, but it ended in determining cumin.

For this reason, if you have purchased X-Boom now (or less than a week after this review is published), you are likely to have to flash the new fixed programs. This is a great inconvenience because it requires the Windows device, but here is the guidelines, here is the fixed program file, and here is the tool to flash the fixed program.

X-Boom only has two real features. The first is something I already mentioned several times – XBASS button. This button really significantly increases the brightness, and I like this kiss made it a right button directly on the headset. This is much easier than having to seize your phone and dig through the application.

Another feature is the ability to connect Daisy two X-Booms; Unfortunately, I could not test this because I only have one. Due to the lack of an accompanying application, there is no eq, the integration of Alexa, no remote control functions, etc. Nothing of these features is really important to me (and perhaps most consumers), but given many UE owners who were angry at some of the people, there are people who are interested in.

Classification /10

Tribit X-Boom

The Tribit X-Boom is a great Bluetooth speaker. If all you care about is the tremendous sound quality for money, this is a great purchase at $ 69.99. I am not a big fan of design, but this is not just a consideration of buyers of Bluetooth loudspeakers, which is very functional. It is also missing in the features that some larger names possess, as well as an accompanying application, but most people do not use them anyway. Cumin represents a big problem with early units, but wait a week or so, and this should be an issue. We have also included the above files for that.

What really matters is sound quality, and X-Boom is recorded in all aspects of this section. The sound is fragile, the dress really excels, and it becomes loud enough. In addition, the XBASS button is located in a comfortable location and actually works. Although this may seem, the physical “collision” is up and the bottom is great for my eyes.

Should you buy it? Yes. MSRP is of $ 69.99 for X-Boom much lower than, for example, UE Boom 2 and Blast. But although although both can now be obtained for about $ 100, it is often less, I still go to X-Boom if it is my money. Tribit somehow has made X-Boom go face to face with a much larger and more expensive sound amplifiers. The final ears removed several features of the prosperity line anyway, so the difference of the feature is not as large as before. If you are on the market to get a Bluetooth speaker, I doubt that there is a lot that will approach the explosion it offers.

Tribit currently offers a 15 % discount on the anniversary for one year, leading to a decrease in the price to $ 59.49. Use the code Xboom828 When you go out from now to September 29 to get the deal. However, keep in mind that the early units will be shipped with the fixed programs that suffer from lily, so I will try to wait until the past few days to capture one.
