Mafi recently announced its largest battery pack, Powerstation 3 XL, which is designed to charge the Apple line of MacBook and MacBook Air devices.
Powerstation 3 XL has a 26,000 mAh capacity and 45 watt power, which makes the iPhone, iPad Pro, 12-inch MacBook and new MacBook Air include devices.
You can expect such a 26,000 mAh device, Powerstation 3 XL is no small, pocket -sized charger. It is 6.6 inches long and 3.7 inches wide, about one inches thick.
You can fit it with a bag or backpack without a lot of hassle, but it is larger than Apple’s largest iPhone, XS Max. Powerstation 3 XL weight is higher than one pound (18 ounces), and it is felt as heavy, viewing as an accessories.
The charger is made from a black plastic material that is covered in a soft, twed material that makes it easy to grip and add some flair. According to the design, it is a high-quality charger that looks like it is expensive, which should be, because Moffi is charging $ 200.
Under the Powerstation 3 XL, there are two USB-C ports, for plugging on USB-C accessories like a MacBook Air or MacBook and a Power Bank charge with a USB-C Cable. You can tell two ports with a little line and a power bolt that indicates which direction is used for which direction.
There is also a USB port next to the USB-C charging port so you can charge accessories on USB. Total, you can charge a device using a USB-C port and a device using USB at once and if you plug in a USB-C Cable and a power adapter, you can charge Powerstations and your devices with Passthrough charging.
Mofi says Powerstation 3 XL has a priority+ charging feature that will provide your devices connected through USB-C or USB before the power bank itself, so if you leave the entire Shebang plug in, you will charge your devices and then Poweret 3 XL will charge. I have examined this feature and really saw the power suppliers before charging my iPhone and iPad.
Powerstation 3 can be pressed to let you know how much charge is left together with four LEDs to start charging a button in the upper right of the XL or to inform you the power level.
At 45W, Powerstation 3 XL provides adequate energy to charge MacBook Air or a MacBook at speeding speed. MacBook Air and MacBook are both ships with 30W power adapters from Apple for charging purposes.
Mofi includes a USB-C to connect to your MacBook or other USB-C device and USB Cable on USB-C and Cable on USB-C, which is included to charge Powerstation 3 XL.
Although not supplied, if you combine the Moffi Powerstation 3 XL with a USB-C with Lightning Cable from Apple (and currently the only manufacturer of these cables at present), you can use the accessories to faster a consistent iPhone.
Quick charging iPhones include iPhone 8, 8 plus, X, X, XS Max and XR. With these phones, when charging the Lightning Cable with USB-C, you can only get 50 percent charge within half an hour.
When examining it with my iPhone XS Max, I was able to get more than 50 percent in just one percent to half an hour and within an hour, Powerstation 3 XL has charged up to 83 percent.
From USB-C to USB-C Cable, I have been able to charge 53 percent from zero power to 53 per cent using Powerstation 3 XL in an hour, and with the new 11 inch iPad Pro, it is used by USB-C Cable to charge the device from zero to 66 percent.
Capacity Wise, single 26,000 mAh charge My MacBook 0 to 100, my iPad mini was enough to charge from 0 to 100 and my iPhone X is from 56 percent to 56 percent, so there is a lot of energy to deal with multiple devices that need to be charged.
For records, at 45W, Powerstation 3 XL 18w provides charging faster than USB-C power supply that provides ships with the iPad Pro. Using the standard adapter, my iPad Pro was taken from the dead to 45 percent within an hour, but in the same period it reached 66 percent with power.
Although designed for MacBook and MacBook Air, you can use Powerstation 3 XL to provide some extra juice for 13 or 15-inch MacBook Pro, but these are high-capacity devices that use 61 and 85W power sources, with 26,000 capabilities, or will not go as faster.
The Powerstation with MacBook offers more than double the XL battery life and I don’t have the MacBook Air to test, it should also be fully charged through a powerstation. You can charge the iPhone or an iPad a few times, so it is a great device for travel and other situations where you need a lot of battery life.
Bottom line
PowerSetation 3 XL itself has nothing to say about to say. It is heavy and somewhat huge, but it is expected from the charger with such high power. Made well,
This is a great aspect parks that provide fast charging for the iPhone and fast charging for the iPad Pro, which makes Powerstation 3 XLK one of the most multipurpose power banks in the market.
Unfortunately, Powerstation 3 XL is extremely expensive at $ 199, which is quite common in muffi products. Mafi creates premium power banks that can be recommended than other, more affordable options.
There are other similar power banks in the market that costs low but Powerstation 3 is not as great as XL. For example, Jacquary produces a 45W USB-C charger that is $ 120 and almost the same size, while both Ankara and Ravpower lower the 30W versions of $ 130 and $ 80, respectively.
There are not many 45W USB-C power banks in the market, though you can find some alternatives from the low-familiar brand on Amazon. I am fond of recommending these because low-quality cables, power banks and power adapters are likely to cause harm if anything happens because of low caution.
Mofi’s products are a recognized brand, which is great for the peace of mind, and carry two -year warranty, something that will be effective if something goes wrong on such expensive charging devices.
I definitely recommend Powerstation 3 XL because this is a great charger, but there is a potential more affordable option. If you can choose to sell it somewhere, go for it, otherwise, make sure you have some comparison shopping to ensure that you are getting the best accessories to meet your needs at the best price.
