There is Ton From the cheap batteries there to choose from, so when we review them here in Android Police, we tend to be difficult to satisfy. USB-C is a necessary thing from our first perspective of mobile, and anything less than 30 watts of output is a little nap. Fortunately, it seems that 45W is the new high -end standard that is taking place until 2019, and it offers the new 20,100mAh new 20,100mAh battery, so that this is the primary level of energy for only $ 60. This is less than $ 140 than MPHIE charges a battery consisting of 26,000 mAh, and Android police readers can get an additional $ 9 via our exclusive voucher. Unfortunately, in our test, he had a lot of problems.

price |
$ 60 (or $ 51 for AP readers for a limited period) is not bad, given the energy and ability. |
The estimated output |
45W is enough to run the laptop, making this battery useful for a wide range of devices. PPS support is also very sweet. |
design |
All ports are on one side, as they should be. Unlikely boring but durable plastic. |
Not very good
Design, again |
Do not feel or look very special if you care about it. |
Compatibility |
It is a common theme with these highly outdoor batteries, but he refused to charge a lot of devices in our test. The other behavior was also inconsistent. |
Design, devices, what is in the box
It is a battery, so it is a brick – it’s the rules, I did not do it. The battery is the size of a modern major phone, despite its thickness, and made of bright black plastic: boring, solid, safe. All ports on the upper edge.
On this slightly comfortable side, you can get an input/output port. One USB Type-C, Micro-Usb port for use with older cables and charging, and one USB exit, each, each. Above the Micro-Usb port is apparently located everywhere, it is activated by pressing the power button on the left side.
Hold this power button for about 5 seconds, and you can turn the battery into a dedicated output if you are facing a problem in the direction of charging via USB Type-C (referred to by a brief flash of LED lamps). The remaining sides are decorated with (front) slogans, posters and organizational information (the back), and the ability (bottom).
The USB Type-A battery is included to Micro-Usb and USB Type-C to USB Type-C- as well as a deer storage bag.
Metrology/tests
The USB-A port is ranked up to 2.4A. As usually happens, I couldn’t get close to this ampirage with any of my phones, but my test had no problem hitting it. Of course, it’s a USB Type-C performance that is more interested in it.
According to a new laboratory (I still learn how to use it), it supports the RavPore 5V, 9V, 12V, 15V and 20V battery, as well as PPS (automatic power delivery) according to PD 3.0 specifications at 3.3-16 V. On paper, this looks great, but I still face a lot of your own.
The output diverges via the device, while others will not charge at all.
RavPore battery directly refused to charge my Pixelbook, which is a hard -to -satisfy device. Chromebooks had the last better luck, but the numbers were in all fields; I will not receive anything I have in 45 watts, and most of them have never been able to pull the energy at all.
Although I can pull/near MAX output on my MacBook Pro, it has not always succeeded, even sometimes switching roles when connected sink My laptop battery. Once from time to time, it will also make a highly tone strange noise while using. Upon shipping completely, MacBook Pro reliably could not reliably be able to replace the resources randomly between the internal battery capacity and the RAVPOWER battery.
This is all disappointing, but unfortunately, no also unusual. The most expensive batteries suffer from similar problems, even if they look slightly worse in this case.
It should also be noted that I had the test two Among these batteries, as the first batteries I received refused to charge MacBook Pro at all. Sometimes, even the alternative battery will only refuse to spit energy, but separate and repeat the errors in any cable you used to usually fit it.

The battery supports charging via USB-A as it is connected via USB-C. The RavPower battery also receives 30 watts on USB-C, which is very good, but MPHIE’s PowerStation USB-C 3xl can mix 45W-a much higher cost. Both Micro-Usb and USB Type-C can also be useful for charging as well, although I want to see two types of type C to pass more convenient if one of them can be used to ship.
Should you buy one?
maybe. I cannot use the “Energy Bank” (the term hate), which I can recommend without reservation; There are many cases of use, each with special compromise. The device’s compatibility seems to remain a Crapeshoot, and the declared numbers are not reliable as a result. I will not buy this battery if you intend to use it with MacBook Pro or a transmitted Cromebook.
When taking out the peak of 45W, it can theoretically provide a lot of energy. Unless you do a lot of assembly or applying on the movement, you should be able to maintain most of the C-type C-energy-powered computers, although the energy that is connected to high-border devices in my test was inconsistent.
However, for the price of $ 60, the specifications look good – at least, if you are ready to take a gambling that may work with the laptop. If you are, we have got a good limited time coup against the next nine days (ending 2/10), which will disrupt you with an additional $ 9, which reduces only $ 51.
Purchase it if:
-
You do not need to ride this maximum capacity of FAA
-
You will charge high -level devices such as laptops.
-
You are on a little budget.
-
You are ready to gamble that it may not work with your devices.
Do not buy it if:
-
20,100mAh is not enough for what you need.
-
You need more output ports.
-
It needs a battery that can charge itself faster than 30 watts.
-
You don’t want to deal with back if you don’t work.
