Philips recently announced his first Bluetooth-added Sonikere toothbrush, which is aimed at adults, which brushes the brushing, provides brushing tips and interfaces with an iPhone to ensure that you are brushing properly.
The $ 199 price, Sonikere FlexCare takes a well -known and popular flakecare brush and introduces the iPhone connection through a Sonikere app that tracks everything you brush to brush how long you brush.
Design and features
I have used Sonikere brush for more than 10 years so I am mostly familiar with the brush and brush head, and the FlexCare line is one step down from the top of the brush, diamondclin (my day brush). Frankly, I am disappointed that the Bluetooth connection has been added to FlexCare instead of the Philips Diamondclin because it does not have many features (3 modes instead of 5) and the non-unibody design is not so beautiful.
Flexcare looks like your standard electric toothbrush, including the head of the removable brush that needs to be replaced every three months or more, buttons to adjust the settings like a power button and intensity. Since the heads of the brush are removable, you can share the attached base of your flakecare among several members of the family.
There are three cleaning modes: Clean, a standard two -minute daily cleaning mode; White, a short mode designed to remove the surface spots; And a long three -minute mode for deep clean, more deep clean. The original round button on the flakecare turned on and closed it, while the long button was used to switch through modes.
A third button at the bottom of the brush allows users to select a severity from one of the three options: lower, medium and high. Sensitive gums and tooth users would like to choose the lower option, while the higher option would be better, faster, with 62,000 brush strokes in a minute.
The unique of the attached flakecare platinum is a set of sensors that are designed to work specially with the app. The brush contains a location sensor in your mouth that contains a relay, a pressure sensor that confirms that you are not applying too much pressure when brushing you (which can damage your gums) and to ensure a scrubbing sensor that you are not removing the brush too much (the brush does it with the brush).
Sonika ships her two new brush heads, intercor and adaptivclin to ship the flakecare platinum. Both of these brush heads are on the larger than the head of the other Sonikere brush so they keep the area on a lot of surface area. The Intercare brush is designed to reach the tooth more deeply when the adaptivkine has the flexible side that is supposed to keep the teeth more cold to clean better.
Sonikere Brush Heads will be replaced every three months and it is thought to be about $ 10 to $ 15 for the brush head, so it is expected to be aware of when buying a tooth brush attached to FlexCare Platinum. The integrity of the brush on the brush is important for removing the blade better than a manual toothbrush (Philips promises that its brushes remove more than 10x blade).
Words are louder than the attached flakecare platinum diamondclin but it is not irrationally loud. It sounds like your average electric tooth brush.
The attached flakecare can be purchased with or without any UV sanitizer (the model is more expensive with one) that can be used to sanitize the heads of the brush. I have previously owned a UV sanitizer and when it’s done properly, I don’t think it’s a necessary part of the equipment. You simply hold the head of your brush in the container, close the door and turn the light on the germs.
This is easy enough, but in your face there are some bacteria that you cannot sanitize UV and toothpaste is probably taking care of a lot of chronic bacteria on the brush.
App
Sonikere’s app is not to track the habit of brushing over time, but to make sure you are brushing the right way in the moment, something that I think is much more useful than the over-time tracking feature of the oral-B app designed for Oral-B Bluetooth toothbrush.
The Sonikere Brush is seamlessly and quickly connected to my iPhone through the Sonikere app. Using the app is done by turning it on before you turn on the brush for a daily brushing session. As the brush is turned on, the app shows you a 3D model of the face and guides you by brushing each quadrilateral in your mouth. When you brush, the 3D model’s teeth can mean progress from yellow to white, which is quite inspiring.
Using brushes sensors, the app can vaguely tell you where the brush is located in your mouth, so you are able to detect how long you spend each area brush. With the “Clean” setting it goes through brushing you for two minutes and then instructs you to turn the brush again for a touchup of all the regions that haven’t spent enough time, so that everything is completely clear. It is able to detect too much brush movement and excessive pressure by sending alert through the app every time.
Movement sensors of the flakecare platinum attached are decent, but it is not indescribable. Based on the way the brush is held, you can detect the app on which side of your teeth you are brushing in each quadrilateral, but if the app is instructing you to brush the upper left quadrant and you may not say the difference to the right. You need to follow the application to make it implement.
I also felt that it was giving me more touch -up zones than needed, but in general, I got more perfectly clean than brushing myself. For pressure and movement sensors, they are sensitive and effective and always properly pressed me very tightly or prevent the brush from being very strongly removed in my face.
I am a dedicated brusher, but the app was still effective because it confirmed that I brush every time for the right time and in the right way. The app also gumif the app, allow the users to properly brush, flossing and mouthwash to earn points to complete tasks.
This is definitely effective for those who need more inspiration for brushing. There are also aims to work towards achieving more refreshing breathing, healthy gums and white teeth. Most of these goals can be achieved by brushing twice a day for two minutes and acting like flossing.
The app that does not do well is to track the habit of brushing over time because of some misleading format. You can see your weekly progress in order to determine and export data for your dentist, how many times you brush, how long, when you have floss and more to do more, it is hard to get a quick overview of statistics.
The app has some quicch with the app, which I hope to address Philips in future updates. It does not send brushing reminders, it does not always ask if I was flused or washed (and thus do not catalog this data), the design is overly transmitted to the “progress” and “target” categories, which makes long -term data collection difficult, but it makes it difficult for bone to work.
Other application features include reminders of brush head, battery readings, product recommendations, dentist response, appointment tracking and focus regions on the basis of coaching for better brush habits.
Bottom line
In $ 199, Sonikere FlexCare Platinum is not cheap in any way, but the price point is compatible with other top-line Sonikar toothbrushes in Philips, including other flakescare and diamondlin models. It is also comparable to some of the high-end electric toothbrushes from companies like Oral-B.
There are plenty of people who use manual toothbrushes (and are satisfied) for which a few handful dollars spend, which can make a 200 dollar tooth brush (and replace brush heads) is absolutely objectionable, but you have to drown for you long time, but it can make progress on your behalf, but it is Bill.
When I use a Sonikere brush than a simple brush my teeth seem so clear and I was a big fan of two brushes that are attached to FlexCare Platinum. They reached all my teeth easily with little effort and felt my face clean for hours.
If you already own a Sonikere and require an upgrade, the attached flakecare platinum is suitable for viewing, but if you already own an electronic brush, features that add the application are probably not suitable for investing in something new. They were very good, especially for people who need some extra inspiration for daily brushing or those who want to make sure they are fully brushing, but in the end, it is brush and brush head that is doing all the work cleaning your teeth, not the app.
It was said that the features like presser sensing are invaluable for someone like me – when I leave my devices I brush too much and it caused some problems for me in the past – and it was nice to know when I didn’t spend enough time in any region. If you are looking for a better brushing experience and not objected to investing money, then Sonikere FlexCare is a view of a scenic attached to platinum.
