Back in January at CES, a hardware hub MYQ HOME Bridge announced a plan to allow the company’s attached garage openers to work with the homekit at the company’s MYQ Ecosystem. The MYQ Home Bridge was supposed to be launched initially in April, but it was a bit pushed back to the home of these types of products to achieve the homecut certificate, and a brief quiet was introduced earlier this month, which was just an official introduction yesterday.

I owned a Chamberline Chain Drive Dore door opener since the 21st, but it does not include any MYQ technology, so I needed installing two separate hardware to add homecit support to my setup: a Micau garage Fi support for Basic Wi and Then the new Mikeu Home Bridge to add the consistency of the homecut.
In addition to the announcement of the original MYQ Home Bridge in January, Chamberline also published a smart garage hub that will integrate both the MYQ Garage and the MYQ Home Bridge function into a single piece of hardware. The smart garage hub was originally planned in July, but the Chamberline told me that its introduction was delayed and the company still not sharing any new target date for it.
Micue garage
Working with my current dumb garage door opener, the first step was to install my opener to get my opener online. It was a simple, straightforward process that took about 15 minutes. The system uses a number of screws to attach a metal bracket to the ceiling in the general surrounding of the garage door opener, at least two feet away from the opener but still stands in the garage door opening.

Mikeu Home Bridge

And if you are just like me you have just crossed the process of installing a Mikeu garage and now you are ready to install your second hardware box.

If you are all in the Homecit Integration and already have a Micu-enabled garage door, the new Micue Home Bridge is a suitable purchase. However, if you have an old opener that needs to be installed both a Mikeu Garage and a Mikeu Home Bridge, I will probably hold a little longer until the smart home bridge announced by integrating both functions into a single box.
