The Galaxy S24 Ultra is one of the best phones out there, and one of the things I like most about it is the way the Gorilla Armor display blocks reflections. But the glass will always be susceptible to scratches or cracks.
I can’t stand even the tiniest scratches on my phone, and I can’t guarantee that my phone won’t fall out of my hands due to someone else’s carelessness, no matter how careful I am. Hence, I’ve always used screen protectors on my devices. There’s a lot of competition out there, so how does the Torras Top-Notch Diamond Shield screen protector hold up?

You can get the Torras Diamond Shield screen protector (I won’t mention its full name every time) from Amazon for $30, though it’s often discounted to $26. That’s a reasonable price for two screen protectors, a device to install them, all the dust stickers and alcohol wipes you could possibly need, and a lifetime warranty.
What’s so good about high quality diamond shield?

Installing the Diamond Shield is easy, but there’s one thing that will make it a whole lot easier. Torras has a YouTube tutorial that you can access via the QR code on the box, but it goes through the steps pretty quickly. I recommend setting the video to play at 0.5x or 0.75x so it’s easier to follow.
Aside from that, it’s very easy. Clean and dust off your phone, then place it in the holder and pull the orange tab. After a few seconds, you can take the phone out, and the screen protector will be perfectly attached to your S24 Ultra.
The fit and finish are impressive. The edges of the screen protector are slightly tapered so your finger slides over it from the side of the phone without getting caught on a sharp edge. I’m a big fan of having straight screen protectors, and the installation method Torras has come up with practically guarantees a good fit. The camera cutout is perfectly centered. My Spigen Liquid Armor case fits over the edges of the Diamond Shield without lifting it up, so it’ll work with all of our favorite cases.
Previous generations of Samsung phones, including my S23 Ultra, have had fingerprint issues when using glass screen protectors. That seems to be a thing of the past, as all the screen protectors I’ve used with the S24 Ultra have worked perfectly with the ultrasonic scanner, though you do need to retrain them after installation.
I’m confident that Diamond Shield will keep my phone safe, and Torras shares that confidence by offering a free lifetime warranty that protects against wear and tear and even accidental damage.

No product is perfect, and the Diamond Shield suffers from a reflective issue. It’s hard for any glass screen protector to live up to the Gorilla Armor that Samsung used for this screen, but the display makes the S24 Ultra one of our favorite Samsung phones.
Aside from that comparison, reflections are average for a screen protector like this, and look worse in photos than in real life. The S24 Ultra’s display can reach 2,600 nits of peak brightness, which is more than enough to cut through these reflections. It’s a shame we lose the anti-reflective nature of Gorilla Armor, but the peace of mind of protecting your phone is worth it for some.
Should you buy the Top-Notch Diamond Shield?
If you don’t mind reflections, which is something you’ll have to deal with with most screen protectors, then yes. The Torras Diamond Shield has a lot of advantages that outweigh any negatives. The oleophobic coating tackles fingerprints, the glass is tough enough to take a beating, and it has a lifetime warranty.
