It’s no secret that I love my Galaxy S24 Ultra. There are a number of reasons why it’s one of our favorite phones, and one of the main reasons is the display. Samsung displays have always been good, but this one takes it one step further. The incredible brightness levels it reaches are corneal-burning, but the best part about the display is that it rarely needs to be turned up, thanks to the way Gorilla Armor blocks reflections.
Screen protectors are essential if you want to keep your S24 Ultra looking new, but they can interfere with reflection. Zagg’s InvisibleShield XTR3 screen protectors promise to preserve the quality of your S24 Ultra’s display, but can they do it?

The Zagg InvisibleShield XTR3 is an excellent screen protector that promises not to interfere with the quality of the S24 Ultra’s display, even with the inclusion of an anti-reflective coating. However, it’s expensive at $60, so does it justify the price?

Price and availability
The InvisibleShield XTR3 screen protector is available on Amazon for $60. That’s a pretty steep price, considering you only get one screen protector in the box, unlike competing products, which usually include at least two. It’s also a bit steep for a plastic screen protector, in my opinion.
What are the good features of the InvisibleShield XTR3?
Anti-reflective and strong
The XTR3 is very simple to install, but there are a few issues that we’ll discuss later. Once it’s installed, everything looks very promising at first glance. The protector feels nice and smooth to the touch, and handles reflections almost as well as the S24 Ultra’s Gorilla Armor or Samsung’s official protective film. Even when viewing a dark scene, reflections aren’t a problem unless you’re holding the phone at an angle that’s not straight on. When you look at it straight on, these reflections disappear.
Samsung’s official screen protector looks pretty close to glass, just like the ones the company uses on its foldable phones. Zagg has managed to do the same here. Aside from a few obvious marks, the XTR3 feels a lot like glass.

What’s bad about the InvisibleShield XTR3?
It seems cheaper than it should be.
Installing this case is simple. Just remove the back cover, place it on the installation guide that came with your phone, and push it down. The problem was that the back cover on my version was already attached, so when I took it out of the box, I left a fingerprint in the adhesive, which is clearly visible. I’ve reached out to Zagg to see if this is covered by the included warranty and will update you when I hear more.
My biggest issues with this screen protector are the touch sensitivity and fingerprints. I feel like I have to be more precise with every tap on the screen, and for some reason, it collects skin oils at an alarming rate. It’s not as bad as Samsung’s plastic screen protector, but it’s much worse than I expect from glass, especially at this price.
Maybe there’s something about the anti-reflective coating that makes fingerprints accumulate faster. Then there’s the price. I could afford $60 if this was a tempered glass protector with that anti-reflective coating, but it’s made of plastic. Paying $60 for a single plastic screen protector seems like a lot, especially when you’re sacrificing impact protection.
Should you buy the XTR3?
If you can overlook the cost and don’t mind fingerprints, you’ll be happy with the XTR3. However, the price may not be right for most people, and a more affordable option makes more sense.
