Casetify, a company that produces customized iPhones, iPad and MacBook cases, has also started selling Apple Watch bands, which can be printed with any design. 38 and 42 mm are available for the Apple watch and at two finishes, bands can be customized with photographs or artwork or ordered from pre-design artist collection of cases of cases.
Fit
The Apple Watch Bands of Casetify are made from polycarbonate and close to the Apple Watch Sports bands. I’ve been wearing a 38 mm Casetify Apple Watch Band for just a week and it is comfortable, but the band’s material is not as soft, flexible or fluorolastoma as the Apple Watch Sports bands are made as thin.
The bands come in two sizes, one for each watch. The 38 mm band fits 140 to 200 mm of the wrist size, while the 42mm band fits the wrist size 150 to 210 mm. The underside of each band is printed on each side with the caseify logo.
In the eighth of about an inch thick, the batifi bands seem to be about third cubic than the Apple Watch Sport (probably about one millimeter difference between the two). This is not a huge thickness discrimination, but it is noteworthy when wearing a sports band, especially after wearing a sports band.
My wrist is below 5.5 inches as the circumference so the catify looks a bit heavy in my arm and feels it is less than a problem for big wrists. A part of the cause of the bulk is to wear the band in my second to last loop, so I have a lot of extra bands underneath my wrist.
It is definitely thicker and less flexible than the Apple Watch Sports band, but the Cascitify band still feels comfortable to wear throughout the day, even when it is wet even when in practice. The band has a lot of holes to adjust the fit, so it is about to fit very well in different wrists.
Most Apple Watch Bands are relatively easy to keep in one hand, not this band from the catephy. This is a standard bark watch, so it takes some exercise to get it on your wrist with one hand.
Hardware
Casetify bands connect a matte silver or matte black finish using stainless steel adapters with Apple Watch and each watch has a matching stainless steel bark.
The bands attach a lot like the other Apple Watch Band, slide the groove next to the Apple Watch until it snaps in place. Casetify bands do not slide Apple’s own bands inside and outside the Apple Watch, but they lock the same way.
One of the bands I got from the cases of the cases of the case was gathered at the back, so it does not slide properly or in the lock, so if you order an order in it, it’s something to keep an eye on it. To fix this, the adapter needs to be unlocked and the band is turned around.
I have a stainless steel Apple Watch and the adapter matte silver Apple Watch does not match the glossy finish, but after the clock, the difference in finish is not too noticeable. If someone is close to your wrist, the difference is easy to see.
Matt Silver is also quite matched to the aluminum of Apple Watch Sport, and the catephy bands come when the ending ends that certainly do not match for some people. The imperfection between the band adapter and the Apple Watch that made me the most upset about the catephy band, but no one seems to have noticed me.
Casetifi provided me a band that has Matt Black Adapter, but I had no space black or space gray Apple Watch to compare the color fair. I noticed some chipping in the Matt Black Casetify adapter after I put it in my Apple Watch, so I am concerned that people who buy the Mat Black version can have the same problem with it. Casetifi says that the chiping I saw is unusual.
Printed design
Customization is the main feature of Apple Watch Bands in Casetifi and designing a band that fits your style and specifications properly is the main reason for buying one of these bands. Casetify pre -designed Apple Watch Bands sell on different colors and patterns, but you are able to create yourself using any image.
You can upload an image or connect to Facebook or Instagram to use a photo of one of those services. Band designs can use one, two or five photos and built -in tools on the site and the app, and allow you to transfer photos as necessary to re -shape and create the desired design.
According to the design, the possibilities are almost endless. You can create a band with photos of kids, pets or favorite cartoon characters or use more abstract designs or photos. Things like flowers and sunset becomes specially well. A high resolution image for the best print quality is necessary, especially when using a single image simply.
It is also valuable to keep an eye on the catephi artist’s gallery for the design created by others. There are plenty of camouflage, colorful designs that are fun to browse.
The value of printing in casestify bands is good, but it is not something I describe as a crisp. Nearby, the designs look somewhat obscure because of the pixelted printing process, as you can see in the photo below.
At a reasonable distance, the band designs of the castephi look pretty well, but I will not choose any photos that have a lot of subtle details for the printing process. Print only covers the front of the band. The side of the band is a light gray color, such as the back of the band.
So far, the design of my band is more than a week of heavy use within a week and has been well -scrubbing, twisting, turning and trying to damage the print. I have not been able to test the band for a long time, but the print seems to be appropriately sustainable, as the band – it can stand for a lot of abuse as it is made of polycarbonate.
Bottom line
Casetifi bands are more expensive than Apple Watch Sports and have some warnings like their thickness and adapters that are not perfectly matched with Apple Watch, but they are the only Apple Watch bands customized and it creates a lot of minor errors.
If you want a band that Apple has more colorful and more personality than what you can get from or if you want to wear a band that is equipped with pictures of your cat, the way to go to the Apple Watch Bands of Casetifi. $ 70 is a lot like shell out for a band that is not as high-quality as the Apple Watch Sport, but it is worth the owners of Tradeoff Apple Watch for customize for customize that wants something that stands.
One thing to keep in mind – many third -party Apple Watch bands in the market are still not there, and this is because Apple did not make the program “Apple Watch” program. Apple has published guidelines in bands and adapters (logs) for third -party accessories designers, but it is not yet approved.
