3 -in -1 charging stations are wirelessly able to enable an iPhone, an Apple Watch and Airpods, now popular for years, although most of them are involved in relatively straight and useful designs. Accessory brand Journey is seeking to bring some more design flair to the department, including his new Nova 3 -in -1 wireless charging station, which will start shipping next Monday, October 28.
The Nova Charging Station is found in wooden grain and sparkle gray alternatives and I am checking a wooden grain model for a few days to see how it looks and performs it.
Overall it features a compact footprint with vertical design instead of “plant-style” design used in some competitive 3-in-1 charger. The whole body is made of plastic, but the front of the pseudo wood grain can help fit it depending on your decoration. A pair of non-slip strips below the charger helps keep it in place and protect your surfaces from damage.
A little over of 400 grams (0.9 pounds), Nova is thick enough to stay stable with an iphone mounted on it, yet it is somewhat carrying so that it can be transported easily. It measures about 15 cm high (though a connected iphone will increase the total height by some centimeters) and has a footprint by about 8 cm by 9 cm.
Nova is at the top with an elevated angle surface hiding a Q2 charging pad, depending on your Oiphone model, an iphone is attached magnetically and lets to charge up to 15 watts. Magsaf-consistent QI2 standards have recently started entering a wide array of products recently, and Apple has already made one-up Q2 with its new 25-watt magsaf on the latest iPhone 16 models, but Q2 should still be abundant for most user.
The charging surface of the phone indicates a distinct pad or graphics with plastic plastic where the device is placed. Magnetic alignment makes it easier to find the right place without even those features, so if there is no phone in the charger it allows it to look very clear.
The back of the station includes a flip-up Apple Watch Charging Pak that provides faster charges to supported Apple Watch models. The flip-up feature allows you to hide the chalk while you are not in use and you can protect it if you prefer to toss the charging station in a bag for travel.
Rear-mounted Apple Watch Pook Design means that your watch will not be visible when charging on the last table or desk, but if you are chargeing a phone at horizontal standby or a vertical adaptation, it is probably a better option for time and other information.
Eventually, the front of the charging station acts as a place to drop a suitable airpodes case for a blank opening -based charging. The airpods charging spot has a grippi pad to help keep the airpods in the area, but it does not include magnets to help the airpodes cases align with that feature. Nevertheless, the placement seems to be fairly forgiven to me and I have no problem in charging my airpods consistently.
A touch-acting light inside the opening can help you find the airpodes charging spot in the dark or even provide some light in a dark room for any other need.
The Nova Charging Station brings a 1.5-meter USB-C to USB-C Cable to get the unit, though you need to provide your own power adapter. I always prefer that a power adapter should be included in the box, especially for more premium price accessories, so that it is somewhat bad here. Allowing you to provide your own adapter if you like to choose energy from a flat charger or other options on the back of the multi-port charger, furniture, then provide more flexibility, so only be aware of that possible additional expenses. You will be able to charge everything at least 30-watt charger at full speed.
The Journey also includes a glue magnetic ring and alignment guide in the box, which allows you to add magnetic capabilities to the old iPhone and other smartphone models that support wireless charging but not Magagsafee/QI2.
The Nova 3-in-1 wireless charging station is usually priced at $ 139.99, but currently there is 20% of the pre-order discount that drops the price to $ 112.00. The other 3 -in -1 chargers of the Named brand, including the AppMagsafee/Q2 and the Apple Watch Certificate, are in the 120 -$ 150 -dollar range, so it is in the same ballpark. Keep in mind that though you have to provide your own power adapter, the current pre-order discount brings enough issues to keep the price to determine the price with a possible additional expenditure.
