Nowadays the iPhone is a wide range of apple-respected controllers in the market, but the game View is unique because it turns iPad Minnie into a portable gaming console. The controller fits on both sides of the iPad mini, directly lag-free, plugged at the port for reliable gaming experience.
There are several similar controllers for the iPhone, but Game Valce is the only option that allows you to hold the iPad mini during the game, so the tablet does not require a stand or flat surface to rest. I have lost with the game Visit to see how it compares to the market in the market and I enjoyed the gameplay experience even though I am not impressed with the size.
Design
The Game View contains two half of a controller that is kept together with a soft, flexible piece of rubber. The left side of the controller has an analog stick, an D-pad and a power button, while the controller has four action button on a second analog stick, a break button and a familiar aboxy Xbox-style layout. There are also two sets of trigger buttons on each side of the controller. According to the design, Game Visit looks like a product of confluence between Xbox One Controller and WII U GamePad.
A light weight matte black plastic made of black plastic, the controller feels a bit cheap, but if it is made of heavy material, it will be too heavy to keep it for a long time. According to the materials, I would say that it is equal to many for iPhone game controllers in the market, but buttons/analog sticks feel higher quality and much better. In fact, I suggest that it is MFI controller with the closest feeling of Xbox One Controller because it borrows from Microsoft.
Analog sticks are smooth and easily usable, an Xbox One controller reminiscent analog sticks and have rubber around the top for their hard grip. The action buttons also remind me of an Xbox controller and when pressed they click very click (such as triggers), they are easy to press smoothly and easily without any sticking. The D-Pad is not one of the directional pads in a standard four-direction pad and many other similar controllers.
At the bottom of each side of the controller, there is a plastic Xbox-style grip, which fits well in hand and makes the whole thing easier to hold with the iPad.
There is a power connector on the right side of the controller, where the bottom part of the iPad fits. To get the controller on the iPad, the lower part goes first, the port of the electricity fits with the fitting on the electric connector and then the other side of the controller fits the top of the iPad. It is a bit clever to bring the iPad to the controller, but it is not a difficult process in any way.
The iPad is relatively easy to pull the two parts to fit it or to figure it out, it is a good thing because you don’t want to use the iPad for any other job other than gaming while stuck in a large -scale controller. The controller fits the iPad mini because it cannot be used in smart cover or any other type of case.
Gamevis has an 800mAh battery that lasts up to 30 hours and it supports the pass through charging so that the iPad mini can be charged in micro-USB without stopping gaming. Below is a small button that can be pressed to reveal how many batteries are left through the built -in LEDs. Game View also includes a headphone jack and it is best to use headphones because the word is muffled without them because the back of the iPad is deposited inside the controller.
Game Views are compatible with iPad mini, iPad min 2, iPad min 3, and newly released iPad mini 4 it fits tightly to my iPad min 2 but I imagine that there are some wiggle rooms with iPad mini 4 because it’s very thin. It does not fit with any other iPad, but one is in one version for the Game Vell -iPad Air and the other is working for the iPhone 6S/6S Plus.
Gameplay
Since the two parts of the game View are not separated, it is not a portable controller. I don’t see it as a controller that you want to travel because it doesn’t easily fit into a bag or backpack. It takes a lot of space and is even bigger with an iPad inside.
It was said, it was amazingly comfortable to hold it even for a long time. I was not a fan of the controller in this review, but while gaming, I was able to hold the iPad in my hand and near my face and made the gaming experience even further submerged. With Game Vell, I thought I had a mini console in my hand.
I should identify the unique shape of my game View. Due to the game value, the design and the wide size of the game, I put my wrist more with a traditional tidal controller. My wrists were not too uncomfortable to come out in the corner like this, but after a few hours of gameplay I got some pain. However, the way this controller has been held can be a deal breaker for some.
Although it wasn’t difficult to hold it, when I kept the game Vell in my lap when I played games with it and it proved to be a comfortable gaming position. I didn’t need any flat surface to keep my iPad straight while using it, so it was great to use playing games while watching television watching the games. I have a small hand, but I didn’t have trouble reaching any button (excluding the trigger buttons, they used to reach any controller on my behalf) or use any control and it should be equally comfortable for larger hands.
Since Gamevis uses a power connection instead of Bluetooth, there is no lag or barrier to the gameplay due to loss of Bluetooth connection. Most Bluetooth controllers work well but problems can sometimes crop and this is not a problem with the game Vice. It’s not going to drain the battery like a Bluetooth controller.
Gamevis performance across various games depends on how effective the controls are made. There are some games that work great with external controllers and among others it is clear that the controller support was total thoughts. Unfortunately no controller is not playing in a game and there is no way to say how well they do.
Game Vice Live app
It is not always easy to find games made for iPhone controllers. There is no reliable way to search them in the App Store, a problem that has tried to solve with Game Vice Game Vice Live App.
Game Vice Live Games have a broad selection that has implemented controlling support and you don’t own GameVis even if it is like downloading. It looks like the App Store, designed to organize games in different categories such as desired, new games, free games and payment games.
There is also a “exploration” section that breaks the games into different categories and has a search feature to search specific titles. I have found the Game Vice App as a great source to find the contents that are compatible with external controllers.
Bottom line
My biggest problem with Game Visa was to carry out. It is big and a bastard shape, which means it is not great to take with me when I travel or get out. This is something that is simply its size and it is more suitable for home use because of its size and space in a purse or bag.
Since it is shaped to fit the iPad mini, it is not a great choice for people who have more than one Apple device. The iPhone and an iPad who both plan to play with both will be better with the Bluetooth controller that can work with a number of devices. It is also suitable for games playing in landscape mode.
Most of the Tradition for iPhone controllers has been set up high priced, but prices are coming down lately. Steleschridge, Mad Catz and Moga all produce controllers, which can be purchased at a lesser price for $ 100, making the price of gamevis relatively high. Is it almost twice as much as any other controllers? Not for everyone, but the quality of the buttons and analog sticks will make it a suitable purchase for anyone.
Game Vells provide a comfortable, lag-free gaming experience but it is a solid sale because it is inconsistent with the price tag and other devices. I certainly recommend Game Visit to the Deadly iPad mini gamers who only plan to play games on one device, but those who are looking for more versatility or better bearing should be focused on other regulators.
