Sparo acquired a company called Specdoms last summer, which made finger-wearing rings that were designed to turn the colors into music. Spacedrams are now being sold under the Sparo brand and now Apple is available at retail stores.
Specdoms fits with an index finger and allow children and adults to play a music note when making a ring, when taping a ring against a certain color, using different color notes. We tested the specdom before their Apple Store release so they were to see if they pay the price of $ 65 asking.
Design
Specdoms are small, silicone rings that have optical sensors embedded in the front. The silicon is stretched, so it can fit with a small finger or larger finger without any issue.
My relatively small fingers and specdoms fits comfortably and snuggily and wearing it was not a problem for long -time music. Below is a squeeze that allows the ring to extend when needed.

The optical sensor, built on the specdom, is illuminated while taping against any surface, and the rectangular front of the sensor receives most rings. It was comfortable and very responsive to tap things on things, easily recognizes different colors.
There is a spacodrum ship with colored mat like a soft mouse pad, which has 12 different colors, each of which can sound different. Specdoms will work with other colorful objects such as anger, blankets, clothing, colorful furniture, toys, etc., but the mat is a convenient way to get access to all the available colors that make words in one place.
Spectrum’s battery life seems to be decent. I played with the specdom for about an hour, left them alone for a week, returned and was able to use it for another hour before recharge.
How does it work
I would like to say that I don’t play any musical instruments and I have no musical tools to determine how these interfaces use with other musical and software musicians, so take into account this review while reading this review and reading my account while reading my account.
To use the Specdoms, you need to connect the ring to your iPhone via Bluetooth using the SPARRO SPCDUMS MIX app. Specdoms are entirely dependent on the app and when you tap in a color when you use the optical sensor, a word will play from your iphone
Specdoms themselves don’t have any words, it is all sync with IPIPHONE – it doesn’t work outside the Specdoms app, which is a matter of being aware. So the idea is to attach one between twelve colors (red, orange, yellow, lime green, grass green, blue, purple, pink, light orange, light green and light blue), with a different word at the iphone, each time.
There are many preset words available for downloading on the specdom app you can use or you can create your own words, so in fact, there are an endless number of words that can be attached to each color. There are eight base colors that can be linked with a single word and with four additional colors you can link the loop for the base track.
You can combine looping words with words that are associated with music making. When you set a loop using one of the four looping colors, it schedules for all the rest of you produced, so it always seems a bit modest.
Using Specdomrams
I like the color so I have a lot of colorful things in my room and it was fun to tap everyone to play the words. I think kids can be able to create words from the surrounding areas but some applications control can be somewhat complicated and may require some parents’ assistance, especially when it comes to new sound recording.
There are a total of 12 colors that will identify the specdoms, so if you tap the red shade on something that is going to play the red word, it is not random sound or the specified word with that specific color.
At any time, you are working with four looping words and 8 spontaneous words that you can associate but you can change things and customize both words and what color what the word plays, there is a lot of options to work and it does not seem limited.
Testing on what words work well together -it is fun to examine and wherever you are, it is a neat experience to make the color a word to create music. The only negative side is that the specdoms must be connected to an iPhone or an iPad that is open to the Specdoms app to create and record music.
I was fascinated by the color detection of the specdoms. The wrong color was never activated to me, while any color was between two shades such as pink purple or yellowish green.
I rush to some issues with the specdom where it occasionally failed to connect to my iphone, which was disappointing. There was a time when the app not only could see my specdom, but it works right after restarting.
You can attach six specdoms to one color mat, which means that a group of kids can all play together to make music.
App
The Specdoms Mix app is designed to mirror the colorful mat that comes with the Specdoms, which shows all the different color buttons for the display of Oiphone or OIPADA and you can tap the spendrums in any color to start the loops, but you can use it on the app.
This is obviously the main thing, though the real fun with the specdom is simply tapping on different objects of the environment and looking at whether you can bring something interesting and fun.
There is a built -in library where you can download different sound sets (all free). Although there are more than 40 sound sets to choose it, I hope the sparo will continue to add more in the future, as you really can’t have enough variations with this national product.
You can choose the whole broad word from hip hop and house music to rainforest sound, drum sounds, fan, sole, a capilla and more. Some of my favorite words were Retro Arcade Jenner, which just sounds like old school video games. Parkson and Retro Funak were also just fun to sound.
If you do not want to use any words included in the app you can record yourself using the built -in editor function in the app. You can attach any word to any syllable and change any color into any word. The app contains a record button that will record what is playing and the songs are stored in a “My Song” section.
The content made using the app can be returned or divided into messages, mail, iMovi, social networks and more things.
Specdoms are definitely noise, but you can connect the headphones to an iphone or ipada so that words can play through headphones not just loudly.
The original specdrams
The result of a company purchased by SPARO is the specifications, so before the sparrow specdoms have, the spacedrum was sold to the Kickstarter supporters.
Based on the comment about Kickstarter, Kickstarter backs were not fully happy with the original version, which was sparo overhul and developed. I don’t know how the original model worked, but Spero works well and apparently has a better application than the first version and I have seen allegations of delayed problems.
For those who want to update the Specdom of Specdoms, advanced versions are offering the original Kickstarter backs by exceeding 25 percent of the new product.
There is a specdom music app that was available before mixing the Specdoms and it was the application designed for original spacedrams. Spectrums works with a version of the music sparrow sporum but I thought it was a buggy, not more difficult and fun to use.
Bottom line
The finger-wearing music maker that responds to the color is a lot of fun to make and make songs and the kids who are in music will enjoy the specdoms.
The Specdoms app is simple, though SPARO can happen if this can happen in the future, it would be nice to see the specdoms with third -party apps and services, because now you can only make music in the Spacedrams app.
Specdoms are a fun and attractive toy that I like to buy for a child I like music, though I can associate with their headphones sets because it is definitely not quiet accessories.
