The eternal king
Cyanogenmod was the king of Roms Android Custom for years. Not only did many great features add on top android (the engine of the characteristic, any person?), But it also brought newer versions of the operating system to the devices that have not been officially updated. Linegeos has done an excellent job in keeping this legacy over the past 3 years, and the project recently released version 17.1 of ROM, based on Android 10.
So, how does Lineageos use in 2020? Does Lineage take on Android 10 a greatly different feeling from the operating system? This is what I wanted to discover, so I brought up the latest on the 2016 reliable Google Pixel Google Pixel and took a look.

Clean and fast |
As always, Lisegeos maintains design and rapid performance of Android shares. |
Support the device |
62 devices that receive night structures from LinegeOS 17.1, as of the time of writing this report. |

Some of the main features |
Lineageos does not have a list of extensive features just as previous versions, although some are justified. For example, a privacy protector has been removed because Android 10 stocks have most of the functions themselves. |
Support the device (again) |
There are some strange gaps in the support list of the subsidized devices – while receiving pixels 2016 and Pixel XL, there are no other pixels. |

I was somewhat worried that the installation process has become more complicated in recent years, but at least in Google Pixel, it was no more difficult than ROM flash on any other Pixel or Nexus devices. Download the ROM, grab the appropriate Google app package (unless you want to go with difficult mode), cancel the operating download device, and run a few ADB orders.
This was the first time that the lineage recovery was tried, and it is the recovery department for the project designed to use it instead of Twrp. It is designed to deal with devices using A/B sections (smooth upgrades), and although they were presented for the first time in nearly two years, it is now the default option for all phones and tablets that operate Lineageos. In the advertising blog post, Lineage said that some devices may also support other recovery operations, but it is up to analysts:
The proportions are now the DEFACTO installation solution for Lineageos. It will be built by default for all official devices. This has been done purely to simplify the process and prevent the coordination of publications. This is not at all to talk about other allocations patients, it is great! Many of them even contributed to recovering the lineage in one way or another. The projects, as is always the case, can determine an alternative recovery on the Wiki page on their device, as long as it provides complete guidelines for its use.
Recovery Lineage Recovery is light to the features compared to TwRP – there is no file manager, or a way to create complete backup copies of the system – but it works well to install the proportions and keep it updated. The ROM inventory was on my pixel and the creation of the proportions of the same speed and the painful, after the official installation guide.
Once restart in Linegeos, the preparation process was largely identical to the preparation of any Android 10-Enter Wi-Fi password, log in to Google, you know the drilling.
Inventory, but a little better
Linegeos still maintains the appearance and feeling of Android, but with some additional features. I have always preferred the design of Android on any OEM skin, so although some of the functions that are used to oxygeno and UI are not here, I have no complaints with the interface.
By default, Lisegeos looks identical to Android 10, but you can customize the appearance a little. Although the Cyanogenmod trait in Old has ended, the proportions have never supported “Trashratum Tranging”, Linegeos 17.1 offers a completely new patterns page. It works similar to the features of the features on Pixel and OnePlus phones: However, it does not seem to be a way to assign a dedicated symbol system at the system level, as Oxygenos allows.
There are also some other slight improvements on the system, such as the ability to capture partial screenshots from the power menu, similar to 10. Linegeos is now proud to support popup/round cameras, fingerprint sensors on the screen, and support Emoji 12 in the AOSP keyboard.

Although I hope there will be some additional features from the famous manufacturer ROMS (such as the screen recorder with the system of the system from Oxygenos and one one), you are excited to know that Linegeos has support for the scheduled dark mode. This is something that OnePlus 7 Pro can do on ROM in stocks, and has not recently been added to the pixels.
Besides all Linegeos modifications, you can also get everything from Android 10 stocks. This includes new navigation gestures on the new screen, improved risk management, updated sharing menu, and much more. We have a new Android 10 list here, if you need to activate.
Applications
Most of the works that are used in Linegeos, or are directly replaced, are updated, the basic applications in AOSP (the open branch of the Android system). For example, AOSP no longer has a browser anymore, so its Lineage has developed its zero point that uses the system’s system’s Webvief component. The browser is likely to be my favorite for Lineage applications, especially as it stores signs of System App Switcher – just as Chrome did years ago.
The music app is also designed from scratch by Lineage, which works well to run a locally stored MP3. It is a little strange that it does not support changing the path of the path of notification, like many other music applications on Android 10.
I must give the supports to the Linegeos team to design an icon – all applications that have been pre -installed have great slogans that mysteriously reminds us of early material design icons. I almost forgot what was the case in the application icons that were not basic colors on a white circle.
The eternal king
Countless ROMS has come and went over the years, but Linegeos managed to circumvent all the time. I do not mean to disturb other ROMS developers – maintain a full operating system in your spare time is not easy – but the lineage is still the only distribution that kept the old phones and devices reliably over the years.
Although I no longer have a reason to use a custom ROMS on my basic phones, Cyanogenmod and Linegeos have spanned the lives of many of my devices. In fact, the 2016 pixel that you used in this article is no longer supported by Google.
I am pleased to see Lineageos alive and in good health, even in an era in which inventory is on most phones and tablets good enough for most people. It maintains an open -source Android dream, as well as preventing functional phones in waste burials.
